They were miles better than us even though they weren't that good. We weren't in the game at all. They won easily. Fair enough about the table but my point stands. We slightly beat Villa and lost slightly to Sheffield Utd. We got lucky at Man U. Hardly European contenders - as someone else also said - how the f*** would our squad compete in Europe? You have forgotten us getting slightly beaten by Colchester too. I never said we were European contenders nor did I comment on any of the other games you mentioned (although for the record we completely played Villa off the park and but for woeful finishing and Heaton being in amazing form we'd have won that game by 5 goals at least regardless of whether their goal was allowed or not).

Fair enough, I'm not entirely disagreeing with you. We will have to disagree on the Sheffield Utd game. I didn't go. I watched on TV - if you were there may have seemed different.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf strikes me as a lad who likes his home comforts.. I can’t see him wanting to move outside of London.. I always remember reading Brian Cloughs autobiography years ago when he signed Teddy Sheringham for Forest. Sheringham didn’t stay long and Clough said it was because he was terribly homesick and missed London... Clough said ‘Apparently Londoners miss London... A place I wouldn’t work no matter how much you paid me’.. I reckon this type of scenario would apply to Wilf.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I remember his deleted tweet from Manchester basically saying 'What am I supposed to do here, place is boring, can't even get a decent pizza' or words to that effect.

I dont actually think we are too far apart in our opinions. Reading what you have put above, much of which I agree with. Not all but much.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle By all accounts hes filed the motion to sack his agent Will Salthouse. 1) He didnt get him the move he wanted away from Palace 2) Will Salthouse is too close to Parish and Palace.. Wilf thinks there may be some biased happenings in favour of Parish and not him...i.e him not getting his dream move to Everton he so badly wants. I do agree there must be some sort of conflict of interest there now..

It wasn't so long ago that Parish was wasting away a transfer window, travelling to Spain and smoozing Zaha with more cash, but the moment the poor little rich boy can't do exactly as he wants..."dream move to Everton" my arse.

Does he have to have an agent? Feels like someone owns you. I guess the idea of an agent is they do all your negotiating for you. Id have no issue with teams like City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Dortmund, PSG etc, but not bloody Everton. Theres new reports in the press today stating how unhappy and miserable he is. We will forever have this until the day he goes. Ive almost started looking forward to that day coming.. Edited by RyWa (12 Sep 2019 10.32am) Edited by RyWa (12 Sep 2019 10.33am)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Oh dear. This rumbles on. What a sad end to his time at the club. I think the best possible outcome of this is that we sign an agreement to flog him to Chelsea next summer when the transfer window reopens, hopefully that would motivate princess for the remainder of the season and give us time to find a replacement.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle So now he has sacked his agent, the more this goes on the more he is looking like a spoilt child. What is the agent supposed to do, if other clubs wont pay the money that Palace are asking for ? Palace are not going to let him go for nothing just because he wants to play at a bigger club. Again, he should not have signed a long term contract without thinking about the negative repercussions. That is what the agent should have warned him about. Quite frankly his performances so far been average at best, but more like disinterested to me. If he does eventually get his move, I suspect it will all go pear shaped again. Palace appear to be one side that can accommodate his style. But quite frankly his antics are leaving a bad taste.
