That rather depends

But to level with you I won't be voting Brexit, just in case you wondered.

I'm truly relieved that you have dispelled any doubts that I may have had in this area.

Won't be voting Brexit when? We've already voted, I thought

You have again not answered my question. Will you be a returning expat, having not paid NICs for many years, that expects the British State to look after him in his old age because it's too expensive to keep up the medical insurance in the US? Like so many people I meet. The worst form of health tourist. And they don't even have to pay NICs when they get into older age, so they are at their most expensive age for the NHS and contribute waxba. Kind of the direct opposite of migrant workers that come to the UK.

He speaks English.
Good enough for me.
I'm not being xenophobic but surely it's a minimum requirement.
As for health care I've changed my mind on free at point of use to anyone.
It should be no matter who it is or where they are from.
Sod it.
There are enough reprobate indigenous ponces getting everything for nothing.
At least it will be a good word for the UK.

Ditto, with added head stomping.

Ah, a politician's answer.

So, whilst you are working in the US you can afford medical care. When you finish working will you come back to Britain like so many other Brit expats?

You are out of date, Croydon is rapidly becoming a cool place to live. Anywhere South of central Croydon always has been but now even West Croydon is starting to gentrify. And you should see the enormous apartment blocks going up in central Croydon, it's truly incredible.

The number of originating nationalities near you is neither here nor there. I asked if you were assimilating into the US culture as you don't seem to have learned either of the languages yet. You may as well go straight to Spanish now.

Dunno about that. A heavily pregnant woman just got stabbed to death in Croydump.

It's a s*** hole. Like a massive terrible council estate that some misguided town planner decided to build a huge towering eyesore in the middle of.

My apologies, I'll get the lad to shoe me right where the skull meets the spine (both as punishment and to see if he's learned anything).

Shoeing. Fantastic, underused term.

Well, it may be a sh*thole in your eyes but it's my sh*thole if so.

Seriously, have you been into the middle of Croydon this year? There is an incredible amount going on. Dirty great holes everywhere that used to contain dirty great buildings. My son went into Croydon a couple of weeks back and WhatsApp'd us to ask what the hell had happened to St Georges Walk and the old town hall. It's all been razed to the ground.

Like they say about Spain, it'll be nice when it's finished.
