It's fallen through with conner by the looks of it, Textor wanted, Parish would not free funds or borrow on his name, SP needs to go and let Palace grow as a club, only person holding Palace back is parish now. Will know by Monday.

So far as I can see, there's nothing we'll know by Monday that we don't know today.

Rose-tinted glasses. Had a good first half of the season for us, but went badly off the boil. Has not recovered it at Chelsea. Not a £40m player as someone will soon find out once Chelsea ship him out. Hope it’s not us. Better around for less money, as Brighton keep demonstrating.

You may have a point about Brighton (although the fact that good players at reasonable prices are out there doesn't make them easy to find) but I think that's a very harsh analysis of Gallagher. No doubt his performances did fall off a bit towards the end of last season, but "badly off the boil" is an exaggeration. Furthermore, lots of players in their first full season in the PL fall away a bit towards the end of their initial year. I also think it's an exaggeration to say he hasn't recovered at Chelsea. He's playing a role far less suited to him in a side where he's not being picked consistently but dropped in randomly with the pressure on to deliver. Plus, he's not had a manager who really supports him; in fact he's had two managers who were just getting to know him. Not the best environment in which to make an immediate impact. From what I've seen of him, while he unsurprisingly has been nowhere near as influential as he was with us last year, he's not been consistently poor either. I have absolutely no doubt Vieira could get the best out of him again. I don't think Conor will come back and I think we'd do better to stop flogging a dead horse but really, give the guy his dues. He's a decent player; a very good one for a club at our level, and if actually wanted to come back and Chelsea wanted to let him go (neither of which is the case) we could do a lot worse.

Seems highly unlikely Gallagher would have started for Chelsea yesterday were this true, but you never know. Also not sure why it would take six days to arrange and medical and close a deal that both clubs wanted to happen.
