It doesn't really matter. It will just be another puppet.

It's certainly hard to argue with that.

That's why he is no longer an MP.

Like it or not he is still though a senior figure in the Tory Party, and this isn't about him. It's about Johnson's future.

If someone like Rifkind is doing the rounds putting this out then the count-down has begun.

He never went to prison or even got fined and he also remained on the Intelligence and Security Committee despite offering his services out to a foreign power. But Assange is locked up without trial for doing journalism.

Interesting, can I ask how you are privy to such information which presumably you have solid evidence of. I am sure you do otherwise your post would be self serving rubbish.

I am no fan of waste or corruption or unsubstantiated claims.

Tap ‘Ministers using their private emails for official Government business’ into your Google search bar you will find that very interesting reading. Await your reply.

He didn't do anything illegal, so why would he go to prison or even be fined? Nor did he offer his services to a "foreign power". He offered to join the board of a foreign company and thereby to facilitate access. It would have been declared in the list of members interests. There was no reason why his experience couldn't still be used.

It was unwise, gives off an unfortunate, and distasteful aroma and isn't what I want to see from our representatives, but probably looks much worse than it actually is.

There is no way this could be compared to the loathsome Assange, whose activities are believed not only to have put lives at risk, but probably people have actually died because of him.

If you think that hacking government computers on behalf of a foreign power is just journalism, then I don't. I know that's what he wants you to believe, but I don't think the authorities would go to this much trouble just to pursue a nuisance journalist.

That says nothing about the rape allegations, although I accept they may have been an entrapment honeypot.

There seems to be an increasing momentum in the media and among Tory MP's willing to speak out, that they no longer want Boris. Polls would seem to suggest the public have no faith in BJ's stewardship.
But BJ doesn't work weekends, but conveniently has found himself (and wife) on a nice jaunt to Eastern Europe, where he apparently made a phone call to Putin a day or two ago. Nice to see him putting a shift in

This is only going to end in a big mess, and the mess will be bigger the longer he tries to grasp onto power. BJ will ultimately have to be forced from No.10 kicking and screaming.

I disengage, I turn the page.

I'm guessing he'll either hang on (on account of no obvious replacement) or will get ditched within the next month. If he remains though, he's certainly taken on damage. He's essentially on record as being a bullsh!tter who puts significant restrictions on others that he himself fails to follow. To the extent that if you forgive it, you compromise your integrity. In means something to mug yourself off at the ballot box. My gut tells me, as consequence he's going.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
