Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Extremism is, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder. No extremist ever thinks they are one. I have heard countless people who hold views the average person undoubtedly regard as extreme, describe themselves as "moderate". Though the "fish and chip" analogy is new. Might work!
