Rest assured that the Liverpool team that faces Stoke on Saturday will probably be their weakest this season after last nights end of game fiasco.

Oh being at Anfield is huge, thanks for pointing that out. For whatever reason I had it in my head that Stoke are at home. This rests my nerves a little bit for early kick off Saturday. Never forget how much of a c*nt Klopp is and how entirely unpredictable his team is.

I can’t see Klopp fielding a weak team vs stoke as there is still champions league places up for grabs and if they blow it against Roma they may not even qualify at all for next seasons tournament

I think a, slightly, weakened Liverpool team still gets a point from a terrible Stoke side, who only scored against West Ham, who themselves are leaking goals, because of a Joe Hart howler, and a poachers goal from a player who can only manage half an hour. We should be good for at least a point against Leicester, with us at home, and them pretty much done for the season.

Of course a good performance today may or may not imply another one at the weekend. After all that Roma side knocked Barcelona out in the last round, but tonight they have been complete and utter toilet. See what I mean? 5 - 2 now, two away goals. How funny would it be to see the bin dippers chuck away a five goal lead? Of course that probably means Klopp will field the U18 XI against Stoke. Edited by chateauferret (24 Apr 2018 9.47pm) I doubt it. He might rotate, but I reckon Salah will play as he's got his eye on all time PL goal scoring record, and coming up against the league's worst defence gives him an opportunity to add a few to his tally. They also won't want to lose, especially at Anfield, so I can't see them playing a team full of debutantes. Edited by CambridgeEagle (25 Apr 2018 8.57am)

There used to be a time when the FA warned teams not to field a weakened side in matches involving promotion or relegation. Totally unfair to all the other teams who are still in the relegation mix if they do and Stoke win

We have every chance of being safe but I refuse to be properly optimistic until it is nigh on impossible for the other teams to catch us - sorry - been there before hence the needing more than probability!

Liverpool havent lost at Anfield all season, and Stoke only have one away win. Southampton have the second worst home record and Bournemouth have a fairly decent away record.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |
