At this juncture I don't have any information apropos Wickham's assist record.

In terms of him playing alongside another striker, I really don't know if he has played many,if any, games in this system. At Sunderland in the 13/14 season when he scored 15 goals, the strikers at the club at that time included Fletcher,Altidore,Borini and Watmore. At Sunderland he did play games out on the left but don't know how often he was deployed in this role.

And it’s the minutes, not even appearances, that would tell the tale a whole lot better, whilst still not telling how good a footballer Wickham ,actually is.
Goals so often are just a matter of getting on the end of things anyway. Would Sterling have developed the game he now has if it were not for the stream of fabulous passes that come his way, ? He has learned the runs and the finish ,but they only pay because of the fantastic assists he can rely on. The point being that at this level you are in many respects only as good as the feed you can expect.
Quiet honestly ,Wickham, gets a pat on the back for the goal at Norwich, but that goal belonged to all three lads, Pierrick, Wilf, and of course the feller on the end of it. If he keeps fit , and so does the rest of the squad, it could work out well for him and the club.

The man scored 15 goals in that season, but only 5 were against Premier League opponents. The rest 10 were Championship goals or in Cup games, against Charlton, Blackpool, Hudderfield, Reading.

Following seasons he scored 5 in 36 in the top level, then 5 in 21, then he became injured for 600 days..

By now, his level is probably League One-Championship. Yes, once in a while he is going to contribute, especially with headers setting up others and being a target man, cause he's very tall and strong. But nothing much better than Benteke or other injury prone Andy Carrol.

Calling Wickham a 15-20 goal a season striker if he's not injured is just.....wrong.

He has 15 goals in the PL in 3 seasons before his injury (5 a season) and 3 goals since the 16/17 season, so 18 goals in total, in more than 100 matches.

The man cannot be a 15-20 goals A SEASON scorer.

That is interesting as he averages 1 goal every three whole matches despite his injury problems. I’d never have guessed that.

These give a description of what could be a decent player , that has only ever been playing for or helping out clubs doing less than well..
About one goal in three for the minutes played in starts. But very prone to injury. 19 league starts with Palace, in all the time we have had him. It all comes back to can he stay fit. But he deserves the chance to help this club going forward.

Well according to some on here apparently he can!

Anyone who thinks Mr Wickham is going to score 15 goals in a Premier league season needs their head tested.

Open to conjecture, if he can keep free from injury then there is no reason to suggest he cannot score 15 goals in one season.
I don't know you don't know, I just purely hope.

The amount of times Zaha plays a lovely ball across oppositions boxes must hold out some hope for a player like Wickham and us as fans watching.

This is a very interesting reply. Are you saying he averages a goal every 3 full matches as in 1 goal every 270 minutes??

If you show me 3 Premier League strikers poorer than that (you can search them everywhere, but Benteke aside ), I'll gladly bow my head in shame.

270 minutes is a lousy period to have 1 goal on average.
