it is always said that long throws are hard to defend because of the different trajectory of the ball, obviously this was a well practiced move from them, the second goal was a copy of what they was doing to all the top teams last season. I can't disagree with you and this is not a big anti Wayne rant - he has donw a good job lately. Yes blame can be apportioned to several players but my point is that a more vocal keeper would have been screaming at the others to mark up properly. I just feel that to really progress next season Sam should target bringing in a new keeper with the right character. It's always said that a succesful team has to have a good spine - well hopefully we will have Sakho, Luca and Benteke but we need a top keeper to finish it off. Wayne would be an excellent number 2.

The other players are professionals, and should be able to remember what they were told to do. Blaming Hennessey for not shouting at them doesn't hold much for me.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Luca was supposed to be marking Huth, but as one of your favourites, he is excused of any blame.

I was no fan of his but I'll admit that Wayne is certainly a changed man. he's had three consecutively good performances at Chelsea, Southampton and against the Gooners. After all the criticism Ive given him, I have to say well done. He should've saved Vardy's strike on Saturday but I'm hoping this was just a minor set back.

I'm glad that we are able to come on here and support WH after his recent upturn without other posters jumping all over us saying we slated him for so long before. Most of us are fair people who just so happen to call a spade a spade.

Same thing up the pitch with Punch being made captain. Again, much more vocal than Dann - a player who will talk to other players (and they will listen).
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I just have this impression that Wayne sort of falls in front of the ball rather than leaps toward it. He does not seem as agile as some other keepers. After all when has he ever been called Wayne the Cat? Actually does he have a nickname at all or have I missed that?

In my opinion, he wasn't at fault for either goal: The second he could've done better, but I would point to Wilf not doing better with Mahrez and Schlupp for getting done by a pretty obvious chop. The first is not his fault. The defence were a shambles, and I'm shocked that people have said they've been practising defending those, at it looked like it caught the defence off-guard. Complete mix up between Ward and Luka, who I would attribute the fault to.

That got to be about 5 or 6 long shots that have beaten Hennessy this season. Not concentrating enough. Although Hennessy done well. He does make a few errors. I would like him to stay but a our number 2. It will be interesting how he does with a defence of Kelly and Delaney. Sakho and a great gk should be top priority.
