Looking like its heading towards a done deal, if medical is positive. To me, this smacks of desperation. How long will he take to get match fit? Gayle is back nearly from injury, and we will have Wickham back in 3 matches. No need to panic and we are in no relegation battle. Why take the risk? We are desperate. We can't score. I think we'll bring in him and one other striker if Gayle also goes and we can offload Campbell. Would be happy with a double-swoop for quality rather than squad players

Hope someone else is coming as well especially if Gale leave we definitely need another striker hoping Remy is going to join him that wouldn't be a bad frontline with Remy ade

Just so long as AE is fit enough to come on for the last 5 minutes on Saturday sneak to the far post and head in the winner. I personally don't mind! We will then work on his fitness levels and keeping his elbows in!

One goal in 6 and that an OG. 1 league goal from strikers all season. Remedial action required - Adebayor is it!

Various sources on twitter, BBS etc saying Newcastle is more likely destination for Remy, but that we are close to signing Adebayor.

I think he will do a job for us, but i just cant get excited about the idea. Our signings apart from Cabaye always seem underwhelming. Dann and Ledley were the last 2 apart from Cabaye i genuinely felt excited about.

Because, although he comes across a bit of a knob, he's a lot better than the rest of our current strikers when on form. I did read somewhere that he has been training quite hard to get a move somewhere, so hopefully can slot in straight away, just needs to get match fit!
