Still torn on my vote. Do I think of the country as a whole and go with the Tories who in my opinion have done a pretty decent job in trying to clear up the mess Labour left?

Or do I vote for purely selfish reasons and go with someone else seeing as the Tories have totally ripped the heart out of the British Police Service and have now ripped up my contract meaning I have to work an extra 9 years on top, pay more into my pension, get less out, lose about 60k of my lump sum and wait an extra 9 years for my pension???

Tough one.

7 years ago everyone was blaming the money men, aggressive capitalism and bankers for "the mess" which was pretty much worldwide. Not sure how Labour can be held accountable for what initially started in the US.

We can blame Reaganomics and Thatcherism though. Deregulation.

Translation: we shouldn't be stupid and populist and blame something which is actually very complex but we pretend is simple.

Let's be stupid and populist and blame something which is actually very complex but we pretend is simple.

I need a translation of your translation

Blaming bankers for 'the mess' - populist and simplistic.

Blaming Reaganomics and Thatcherism - populist and simplistic.

Problem of political ambition and ideology, it tends to forget that people are far more stupid and self defeating than we give them credit for. I mean, Jesus turns up, preaches love and forgiveness, and somehow a thousand years later, that's justification for burning women.

So as far as something as difficult as economics go, any plan is a surefire disaster.

I'll be staying up for 3 reasons...

1. Somebody broke into my summerhouse on Monday night and nicked my Cider/Wine and I'm ready with a baseball bat if the little fcuker returns.

2. I want to be one of the first to see Nick Clegg lose his seat.

3. Sophie Raworth is hosting the coverage.... Grllllll!

Summerhouse? i thought you lived in a stable.

Ahh politics, everyone has an opinion, some people listen, others don't.

For the past week i have had people on twitter and Facebook tell me who to vote for, why they don't vote and that their view is correct.

End of the day, each of us have an opportunity, to do our homework and vote for a party we feel best suits us. If they don't vote, then they can't really bring anything to the table, as a non vote is not having a say, at least, you would assume that.

I saw one poster say they weren't voting - that it was their right. I replied - well, maybe think about others that are struggling and what party could best help those people - vote on their behalf.

I dunno, i just feel way too many people are using this to promote themselves as 'individual' 'progressive' or 'liberal'.

Focus on doing good, get ya head down and vote and let's be the change we want to see in the world.

Just caught the beginning of the C4 coverage, it is good to see that they are encouraging people to vote in the next 40 odd mins.

No political bias just don't gripe if you haven't voted.

Exit polls = Business as usual tomorrow. Dave and Nick for another 5 years.

Or Nick chucked in favour of the DUP.

UKIP a damp squib as expected.

"The Conservatives are set to be the largest party in the Commons but just short of a majority, according to the general election exit poll.
The survey taken at polling stations across the UK suggests the Tories will get 316 MPs to Labour's 239 when all the results have been counted.
It suggests the Lib Dems will get 10 MPs, the SNP 58, Plaid Cymru 4, UKIP 2 and the Greens two".

So much for UKIP's more than 24 seats; perhaps they are hoping to vote after the pub.

See the anti austerity party look set to make big big gains, almost a clean sweep.
