That’s old news and was just Ofcom doing its job. Looking from outside and seeing ways to improve. Nothing wrong or surprising in that. Audits are always helpful.

I don’t routinely watch ITN, so cannot offer an objective answer. Instinctively I feel they are lighter weight and tend toward show business and tittle tattle more frequently. So delivering what their market wants. Give it a go. You might be surprised.

Nigel Farage is being hammered by everyone for comments that he made on BBC last night that it was the fault of Nato and the West that Putin invaded Russia It was interesting that these were actually made by Farage several years ago whilst he was an MEP and were made years before Putin did actually start the war and it was Nick Robinson who brought it up

Give it a go. You might be surprised. I wouldn’t be. Not routinely doesn’t mean never! I see enough. I also dislike programmes being interrupted by ad breaks.

The actual recommendation was to transform the way it handles complaints so that perceptions can be changed. Not that it needs to actually change its programming or standards of impartiality but to improve the understanding of them. In other words address a PR issue, not an operational one.

Hardly ancient history.

That’s his job. Exposing the attitudes of those who seek responsibility is important. Farage’s view is not unique. It has also been stated here several times, although where the true source lies is unknown. What must be true is for anyone in the west to publicly state such an opinion is to hand Putin all the propaganda he needs in his own country to keep them onside, whilst brutally silencing any dissenting voices there. Scoring own goals is not something needed in any team.

We handed Putin an excuse to invade Ukraine with our usual meddling. I don't think people who have already decided to vote Reform will be bothered by this leftist propaganda.
