Excellent post. And no doubt, the financial sector will be offered further 'incentives' not to leave the UK now. As Hague and Osborne have both recently said, 'Austerity (ie QE)' was completely the wrong way to go. No s***! I believe there's a ton of s-it on it's way (possibly as early as next week) and many 'normal' folk will once again be paying the price for the greed of a very small minority............of cunds. Thank you, jamiemartin721, the expert on constitutional law. I'm glad you, other like-minded remainers, as well as the whole host of celebrities, experts and international leaders are able to expose this level of ignorance before we vote in the referendum. We'd be stuffed if we actually ended up with a leave result (I know, unlikely, right?!), and then 5 months down the line discovered that all those experts and online remain warriors didn't tell us it wouldn't be implemented, unless passed in a heavily remain-leaning parliament! After all, wouldn't it be embarrassing if those on both sides didn't, at any point leading up to the referendum, mention that this decision would still be bounced back to parliament regardless?! Just imagine if, for example, we'd blown £9m of taxpayer money on a leaflet telling every UK household that the referendum result would be implemented immediately? How embarrassing! And wouldn't it be so embarrassing if we'd gone to the trouble of flying the US President over (he's quite busy) to 'terrorfy' [sic] and scare the sh*t out of people, so they vote in what is essentially just an opinion poll! Gosh, that would be silly! At least now that we all know, politicians like the leader of the opposition won't do anything silly like suggest Article 50 should be invoked immediately, so as to negotiate an exit from the EU! I'll be sure to bookmark your post, so that 5 months from now, just in case, I can stop all the bickering on here, and say: "hey, guys! ignorance is no excuse! This constitutional expert called it well before the referendum even took place!! Stop pandering to press 'irresponsibility' [sic] in reporting how 'parlimenary' [sic] democracy works!!". Oh, wait. I'm sorry, but what are you saying? If your point is that there was a criminal lack of clear direction before the vote, then I agree. However, that misdirection was from both sides of the debate.

You are welcome. Although its more a fact that I'm currently doing a OU unit on Constitutional Law. It was mentioned quite a few times before the referendum that the UK would require an act of parliament to leave the EU. But everyone was too focused on arguing it would be a wonderland of dreams or an apocalypse of doom, and w**king themselves silly over their fantasy of the UK, rather than being interested in the reality.

As Hague and Osborne have both recently said, 'Austerity (ie QE)' was completely the wrong way to go. No s***! That definitely implies either you think they are the same thing, or you think Hague and Osborne do? Would also be interested in what economic stats you're referring to. The BBC is not my source of economic news and the economic stats I see are mostly mixed, rather than pointing one direction clearly.

There are people who have to deal in the details and then there are those who are visionary and think beyond all that. We need both types.

Being a visionary can include bad projections as well as good. There have been plenty of 'visionaries' giving their two penny worth already. Hard details are needed more than ever now, before we pull the plug. Lest we do a UK/Charlton and the EU/Curbishley impression.
