That makes it all the worse. If they were aware of his opinions, they knowingly employed that idiot.

If they didn't know, they do now. Sack him.

If every HR department asked the Daily Mail to do their kind of due diligence on candidates no one would ever get hired.

The BBC hired him, not the Daily Mail. They are responsible for employing a buffoon.

It makes you wonder who the buffoons really are. The simpletons raking it in, doing poor work for the BBC.
Or those paying their TV licence fee without question.

It was the Daily Mail who wrote the story that others thought unimportant. Similar stories for other employers would receive no attention at all.

This is 100% part of the Mail’s campaign to undermine confidence in the BBC. Why might they want to do that?

To represent the people who had had enough of the woke biased bbc. Is that OK for an honest answer?

So the Mail is the problem, not the complete idiot that they exposed?

You need to stop. You have become obsessed with defending the indefensible.

No. Because it suits both the financial and political ambitions of its owners, along with appealing to the biases of its readers, who seem to think that there is something called “woke”! When we all know that is just an excuse to reject anything remotely progressive.

Yup, the Mail is a huge problem and has been for years.

It’s a rag. A cess pit of misinformation dressed up as a newspaper.

That it targets the middle classes doesn’t change that.

Exactly how many see the BBC then. One difference being that the Daily Mail can't charge £3 a week whether you read it or not.

,...and yet, when this happens
[Link]
"Reform UK’s parliamentary candidate in Kemi Badenoch’s constituency has resigned after it emerged he previously urged people to vote for the BNP.
A spokesman for Reform UK said “Mr StClair-Armstrong has tendered his resignation” after “the revelation of unacceptable historic social media comments”.

So is this proper investigative journalism ? or a selective political digging for dirt , by a discredited media corps.? (first reported in The Times)

You pays your money,...
