I suppose that's unsurprising as you seem to rely on the same "news" sources for your "alternative facts" and not the edited and researched information presented by the MSM who you regard as part of the problem.

The idea that Biden fronts a "backroom of far left progressives" made me smile. I don't detect a whiff of anything "far-left" emerging from the Biden administration. Common sense and pragmatism seem more accurate. Don't see much public ownership or seizure of private assets.

What about the fact that his corrupt drug addicted son has been protected for years?

I am talking about a party ensuring that the candidates they put forward have integrity. That would apply to every party. How it would be administered is an open question, whether voluntary with only reputational damage if a failure to expose known faults is subsequently revealed, or whether legal sanctions could be found.

There would be nothing to stop anyone from standing for office. Only that if a party backs them, then they take responsibility for them.

If such a system existed then the GOP, who didn't want Trump but had him imposed on them by their selection system, could have debarred him from the start.

You can’t answer that more than half need to be happy to make the selection the correct one then !

Biden literally wrote March 31st, 'transgender Americans shape our nation's soul', shortly after one of them had murdered three children and adults at a Christian school.

Biden, this 'common sense' guy is constantly attacking '‘white supremacy’...Errrr...that's what the far left do. He calls it the 'most dangerous terrorist threat'. This 'common sense' guy literally ramping up fear and division over a group that never rioted for 18 months burning down businesses.

'White supremacy' being his description for the world he literally grew up in the world and succeeded in.

[Link]

Biden says that curbs on transgender transitioning treatment for children are ‘outrageous’ and ‘immoral’. Biden claimed states have no right to restrict treatments like hormone blockers or sex change operations for transgender children, claiming that recent measures passed by Republican-led legislatures were based on 'fear'. We are not talking about adults here, we are talking about children.

All of this is what the far left believe in and do. To his credit Trump said that Biden would be a mouthpiece for the far left when he took over and he was completely right....as he has been on many of his predictions for what would happen once Biden took over.

It's been a disaster for America and the world.

But to Wisbech the idea that Biden fronts a 'backroom of far left progressives' makes him smile. Wisbech says that Biden is about 'common sense and pragmatism'. I invite anyone to review those words with the links and decide whether Wisbech is right or is smoking hypothetical crack on that one.

What about it?

Hunter Biden is not the President. He isn't even a politician. He is someone who has had a tragic family experience and a drug problem that seems to have resulted from it. If he is corrupt then due process needs to handle it and not mud-slinging on social media. He seems to me to be someone needing help.

Hanging this around the neck of Joe Biden is ridiculous. He has distanced himself from it, and not commented, so far as I can tell, whilst trying to assist his son as any father would.

It shows to me just how desperate the right is to try to whitewash Trump that they seek to build this pimple into a mountain range and claim some kind of equilovence.

No, because that's not the point I am making. This is about a code of conduct for political parties generally.

The above demonstrates a seriously disturbed mindset. "Far-left" politics have nothing to do with defending the rights and progress of previously unrepresented and marginalised groups, like transgenders or attacking threats posed by terrorist action by those with extreme political views, whether right or left. Far-left is a description of an extreme political ideology. The first result in Google serves to show this:-

"far left has been associated with some forms of authoritarianism, anarchism, communism, and Marxism, or are characterized as groups that advocate for revolutionary socialism and related communist ideologies, or anti-capitalism and anti-globalization."

That's all about the way a society is organised and managed and has nothing to do with a modern open-minded, President commenting on the evolution of social progress. and attacking terrorism, within the established capitalistic political system of the USA.

To suggest what Biden has said on these matters as being "far-left" isn't just ridiculous, it's laughable.

Nothing far-left involved. Only people who think like McCarthy see reds under the bed.

Versions of the far left can be those things however only someone who doesn't know what they are talking about on these ideologies or is trying to deceive would leave out the social progressivism that was part of communism (in many but not all versions) and that has been taken up by Biden and co. You say this is 'social progress' but that's ignorant of the fact that these ideas have been around since Marx and Engels - the very birth of communism itself....it's not new at all.

As to the specifics I'll leave others to judge as to your contention that the permanent mutilating of children is 'open minded' and 'common sense'.

For me and I believe the vast majority It's disgusting and these people should be in jail and in time the bell is going to toll.

You have the gall to call yourself a centralist when you support these crimes....it shows the real truth of the matter.

I'll leave others to judge as to your contention that talking about 'white supremacy' has anything to do with 'common sense'. It is notable that Biden never spoke about any of these topics in the past and only since the Democratic took to its radical far left turn.

It isn't common sense it's pure Machiavellian opportunism. If the political wind changed within the Democrat party tomorrow Biden would change with it...any analysis of his career shows it. Given your career choices 'Machiavellian opportunism' is perhaps something to which you should be well acquainted.

Both of these are far left dogma and both are important to Biden.

There aren’t “versions” of far left. It’s a well recognised political ideology which has no adherents in the West who are at all close to power. Western countries, including the USA are capitalist based, and largely social democracies.

I have no idea whether Marx or Engels opined on transgender rights but it seems unlikely to me. They were concerned with loftier matters.

I’ve not offered an opinion on the “mutilating of children” but I will now. Anyone doing such an act should be locked away for a long time.

That’s not to say that those involved in trying to help those who genuinely desire the help and do so legally, fall in that category. This is an area for experts, working under well researched and controlled guidelines. It’s not an area for those who see everything in absolute terms. I neither support nor condemn it. I don’t claim competence to judge.

I do though condemn political terrorism, from every and all sources and am glad to know Biden does. What a pity his predecessor didn’t and still doesn’t. Do you.

'There aren’t “versions” of far left'.

If you don't know what you're talking about Wisbech, just say.....on the face of it that sentence is ridiculous.

Marx and Engels didn't write about transgenderism as such but for how transgenderism is connected to Marxism you can read it right from a pro Marxism website itself.

[Link]

Again, if you are going to have an opinion on something you should at least know what you're talking about to some degree.

Their ideas led to all of it.

You literally push cultural Marxism.

[Link]

As for your 'half foot in, half foot out' cop out words on supporting the mutilation of children.....all while presenting yourself as a centralist.....I'm glad it's all there for people to read the truth of that matter.

Biden, who you say is full of common sense fully supports the transgender conversion of children.

Oh there are degrees of just how far left any particular nuance is regarded, just as there are with the far right, but there is a core set of beliefs at the centre and as you have been forced to acknowledge transgenderism doesn’t feature. That some who adhere to such beliefs also sympathise with the transgenders is beside the point. They probably sympathise with the RSPCA and Save the Children too. They might claim such sympathies arise from their political convictions too! People do that on both the left and right. Doesn’t make it true. It’s often just a fig leaf.

Trying to connect the left in general to anything you disapprove of is what you do on every issue. I’ve been here long enough to see that.

Central, left or right political views are completely unconnected with opinions on how society has become more understanding of differences and the marginalised. You can hold centre right economic views and believe too in social change. It’s just your kind who don’t.

Labelling those health care professionals trying to help the transgender community to better understand themselves, and make life more tolerable, as child mutilators is disgusting. It’s no better than labelling those who provide abortion services as child murderers. Both show ignorance, intolerance and a lack of compassion.

I defer to the professionals. You, as usual, know better on this as you do on everything. Who, does that remind anyone of? Answers on a postcard from Mar a Lago!

Why wouldn’t any President support a change recommended by specialists? Blocking progress because some on the right don’t like it is no way to lead.

I note you fail to condemn, just like Trump, politically inspired violence. Why is that?

Aside from your ending cynicism, which is opinion with seemingly no basis, I would say this is a more accurate reflection of the reality.

Yeah, it's called champagne socialism....and while you are definitely not a socialist you do seem to embody the hypocrisy of that term.

It's not accurate to say I disapprove of everything from the left. As stated the left is a broad church just as the right is. There are several left wingers I follow (for example I link to Russell Brand and Jimmy Dore, even Musk is a real centralist, unlike yourself) as I'm not someone who believes in 'purity spiraling' when it comes to politics. Indeed, not being able to talk to people with differences in opinion is unworkable and again....an identifier of authoritarianism, which is ultimately anti humanity.

What I really disapprove of is lying or manipulating truths towards an individual's own ends. If someone comes from the left and is honest I respect that. There are plenty of well meaning people on the left. As I say it's the liars, with the larger the lies the worst the impacts. It has proven disastrous to humanity wherever it is found....for example, the left's 'blank slate' theory has literally destroyed lives for centuries and continues to do so.

Liars are found everywhere on left or right but the left have higher scientifically proven connections to mental illness especially the further progressive you go.
.
For many on the far left their opinions are based less on reason and order and more on personal emotional issues. It's why they react so extremely and use hyperbole on everything, for example calling positions they don't agree with 'hate'.

My personal political beliefs are probably ninety percent utilitarian in nature. They are more related to how policy affects social metrics and hence how the real world works. They are far less based on ideology or your never ending 'jam tomorrow' or 'evolving' delusions.

No what is disgusting is finding forms of words to justify the mutilation of children. Frequently these are autistic children growing up around very liberal parents who are going through stages where they feel disconnected....something very common with autism. The idea that they are born into the wrong body is a complete nonsense and pure ideology.

Your usage of the word, 'professionals' tries to justify this. In reality what you are referring to are just the far left in medical jobs who agree with carrying this out. To present it as an appeal to authority is rather ignorant of history.

The Nazis and many regimes all over the world all had 'professionals' willing to both carry out their ideologies and find words to defend them.

For example you can find 'professionals' who agree with euthanasia and are carrying that out in Canada and likewise 'professionals' who are strongly against it.

So I regard your attempt to appeal to authority for these mutilations insidious. It's trying to portray the idea that some accepted consensus exists once someone gains a qualification in a field.....when the truth is that any regime will always have enough 'professionals' to carry out whatever policies they promote.

The bell will tolls on this....as it's not accepted by the mainstream...again disproving your claim to be in the centre.
