Which is the actual insanity about this entire situation from day 1.

This 'war' is nothing more than a US-inspired move to basically weaken Europe. Germany was on the cusp of securing Russian gas without it having to transit through Ukraine. And now...

I thought i was the only one that thought sanctions were an insane policy to adopt. The enhanced trade/diplomacy between Russia and China could have been foreseen, but seems to have been missed. Much like having a withdrawal strategy from Iraq and Afghanistan, thinking further than 'today' seems to be beyond most military and political leaders.

I disengage, I turn the page.

There are conflicting reports on the drones. To summarise they seem more useful when cheap and lo tech - used for observation and target acquisition by localised troops (largely Ukrainian) in general. Large high tech drones have the jury out - mainly through mission connectedness, reliability and expense.
A lot of military issues overall, on both sides come from how things are being used, lack of communications and lack of integration and cohesiveness.
Russia has a famously ponderous command whilst many Ukrainian commanders lack any experience and much training. Some high tech weapons systems take a year or more to learn, let alone master.

You think they are waiting to train Ukrainians for operating high tech equipment that isn't on the battlefield before an attack?

I think things are far more embedded than that. Unfortunately the US and Nato are knee deep in this war.

There's quite a lot of training in several countries. Notably Poland but also even in the UK. There are also the usual "trainers and observers" on the ground. It's in the public domain - I won't be telling any secrets. I think it's the usual proxy war and weapons testing. Pretty much like all the wars since WW2 except the ones about oil - which also plays are a part here.
One of the things I'd be interested in is: does Ukraine get the weapons for free? Sounds unlikely, particularly with the US. Although maybe Poland/Latvia have a lot more skin in the game plus a hatred of Russia. I can imagine Polish weapons given freely but don't know.

It's what the media don't tell you that can often be revealing.

I'm hearing that only the 2.5% of Ukrainian grain went to poor or developing countries according to the UN official data.

If that's true then with the end of the grain deal does this mean that our food prices are going to rise again?

There continues to be no serious move for de-escalation, in my view this war should have ended over a year ago and the longer it goes on the worse it is for us and everybody else.....apart from those making millions out of it.

Where did you hear that? You simply absorb Russian propaganda, you must be such a target now they know how credulous you are.

JCC data shows that 57% of the grain from Ukraine went to developing nations, with the top destination being China, which received nearly a quarter of the food.

For the avoidance of doubt, The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) facilitates the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative to allow ships to safely export grain, other foodstuffs and fertilizers, including ammonia, from Ukraine via a maritime humanitarian corridor. The JCC was established on 27 July 2022 in Istanbul. It comprises representatives of Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Turkey and the United Nations.

Do you simply just absorb western propaganda? I would have thought after the last few years peoples eyes would be open a bit more.

Are you totally incapable of research or independent thought?

Good, in that case look up where the 'data' came from to which Stirling alludes. And do that before you comment. Stirling constantly makes assertions that come straight out of the Russian Bot play book, I wonder how those assertions come into his mind.

He lives in the very swamps of the internet I am afraid.

I said, 'if' that's true Mr Ignorant.

You haven't said this UN statistic is false.

China isn't a developing nation by any sensible metric.

If what you say is true then I guess our food prices won't be increasing then. Cool, if they do you'll deserve the criticism I'll give you.

I'm interested in the truth.

As for my attitude towards Russia, you're a liar or just ignorant. I have criticised Russia and disagreed with the invasion. The only difference is that I agree with Farage and Orban that the US and Nato enabled this war with bad policy.

You on the other hand were on here saying that IQ tests were designed by Jews so that their scores looked better than others.

You're the fruitcake believing nonsense.

Here is the article from an Irish website....which apparently is Russian propaganda. Again, I'm not certain whether it's true or not and quite frankly what interests me is whether it affects the food prices of our working classes and hard pressed families.
