Agree. I can't help thinking that had we sold Wilf and used the money to buy Sarr and Chalov we would be a better overall team for it. £52 mil just wasn’t enough. I wonder how much would’ve been. I estimate it’ll never be £100 mil, maybe not even £80 mil or even £70 mil unless there’s add ons etc. Looking at Everton now I think they’ll be back in January and go a bit higher but not that much and Zaha will create more of a problem. Player power isn’t easily erased as some think, in 2019/20.

It’s not just Wilf’s poor performance and application last Sunday, it’s also the effect this whole sorry saga has on the other players and the ‘team’ in general. As much as he’s been one of the best and certainly most exciting players I’ve ever seen in a Palace shirt, I personally would not be sorry to see him go now. Cash in, buy a couple of decent players and put this chapter behind us. I don’t subscribe to the view that we won’t win without him and will get relegated, because unless his attitude and performances improve dramatically we might well get relegated with him! Especially if his presence is unsettling the rest of the squad. its just what happens when teams concede possession to us...we never, ever, ever , ever break them down and wild rarely ahines as he has no space. we are a counter attacking team, give us no space in behind and we cant hurt teams...not wilfs fault. IMO of course

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle PSG would be great for Wilf. Low grade football every week, the Champions League football he wanted, rolled out in the last 16, and massive wages. He will disappear off the radar, consumed by a young man’s greed and badly influenced by the hangers on that surround him. He blew his international chance, and is now compromising the rest. Would be very rich though, sad thing is, he is already.

I wouldn’t count on it though. Edit: Didn’t realise it was now. Thought it was January. Having no replacements now would be disastrous. I’d let him go when we do though. Hopefully this is true. I wouldn’t count on it though. Gathering pace it seems . . .

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle It would be a risk to let him go now. He’s does seem to have checked out a bit with us at the moment but we’re gunna have plenty of not so good days where Wilf could make a difference. We all know he’s got one foot out the door and to be honest with the way he’s handled it all I’m ok with him going now but let’s use him till Jan and then wish him all the best in Jan.

He wants to go and does not want to spend his whole career at palace. I get your sentiment but hesbalready gone. Jan or the summer. I just hope he has a great season with us then moves on and achieves what he wants to achieve.
