I think you may well be right. We have some American relatives, who also live in California, who visited us in January and the husband who is 75 got sick whilst here and had to see a doctor in A & E. He was amazed at the treatment he got, without any charges at all. In the USA the cost of their healthcare is huge and a constant worry, especially now. He is a huge Trump fan but has completely changed his mind on how health care ought to be delivered having personally witnessed both in short order. On another issue I have this morning been chatting with a devoted Trump supporter who lives in the Philippines. He is a conspiracy theory consumer to the n'th degree and is convinced that the current crisis is a media/democrat conspiracy designed to oust Trump and control the minds of the average person. He does though have 2 months of food stored and a loaded gun in his pocket. I've said on here before, I'm not really a conspiracy theorist. But I wouldn't put anything past the Chinese government. Trumps been very harsh on the Chinese, this has targeted America's biggest weakness. Hong Kong protesters were out of control in November, potentially looking like the kind of thing that overthrows communist dictatorships. China really doesn't give that much of a s*** about it's own people. They'll probably come out of this much stronger than everyone else. Although, I think it's down to the Chinese having absolutely no food safety policies in an attempt to stop its nation starving.

In China human faeces from the cities is brought in carts and lorries to the countryside to use as fertiliser. The countryside and peasant farmers are still living like they did a hundred years ago. Food production has not been updated - hence China's expansion into arable farming territories and it's buying up of all North Korean farm produce in exchange for weapons. Leaving the North Koreans starving.

bias against Trump? possibly, but if you saw his latest attempts to explain the dangers of Covid-19 without realising the difference between a virus and a bacteria then bias or no bias he remains a stupid c*nt - the average d*ckhead down the boozer knows more - truly amazing or frightening

All private employees who lose their jobs are entitled to 2 years' insurance payment. This is a great exercise in 'blame anyone but ourselves'. Trump seemed fine with China when he was negotiating 'the greatest deal in history' with them. America in general has relied on the CCP and its repressive style of governance for the maintenance of the consumer economy. The CCP are awful in many ways. And in Trump, they have seen a useful idiot who they have easily played in order to bolster their global standing.

Indeed, the Democrats now want to elect a guy in mental decline who can't finish coherent sentences anymore and sometimes even has to be pointed in the right direction.

It’s odd how those who think Roy is too old to manage a football club would support a man five years older to lead the free world.

They claim to detest Trump because of his behaviour and past and then choose a candidate who comes with a proven background of lying and all sorts of allegations. If they were actually serious about their grandstanding they would have choosen someone like Sanders or Booty-judge or any of the irritating women they had...except Chief sitting bull Warren. But, as is often the case....all this stuff is fine....when they do it....suddenly the excuses. Sanders would have been genuinely interesting, he doesn't have a questionable moral background on personal behaviour. I think he had a greater chance. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Apr 2020 10.24pm)

Even you must admit the total lack of understanding about viruses was toe curling. It is odd how the Democrats can’t find a sensible candidate. Sanders was probably too big a risk for most Shermans. But Biden is just same old same old, what got Trump elected in the first place.

The Garnetts won you world wars....and Trump certainly has an economic war on his hands now.

Some seem to believe that Biden is just a stalking horse and that he will stand down on medical grounds and a preferred, younger candidate parachuted in by the DNC. I have no idea how true that is but I agree that having Biden up against Trump is a big risk that ought not be taken. Trump must be replaced.
