This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Whereas I see nothing but bs from the anti-vaxxers and anti-lockdown advocates. The latter all seem to hold their views solely as a consequence of a political obsession. I am sure there are some Brighton supporters among those groups and some of them may try to convince people that Brighton are a bigger club than Palace. We, of course, know the truth.

Nothing to do with the above, that's for sure. I know what this thread is about, but we have drifted off-topic. I am talking about international trade. International trade is about selling, and selling is about influencing minds. In the modern arena, it is about giving the appearance of being green, woke, virtuous or any other quality in order to attract consumers with disposable income. Mostly the young and gullible (and a few old fools). The Rape gang situation is related to this because politicians put economics, Asian votes and their fear of the so called Right Wing before the welfare of the invisible victims. It just doesn't fit with the melting pot world fantasy that they want us to buy into.

Let's not forget of course that this guy calls anyone whose had vaccines but just not these ones...or is making any criticisms or just isn't up for their booster or are just pro choice an 'anti-vaxxers'. Abuse of language. Edited by Stirlingsays (03 Feb 2022 7.08pm)

I don’t really see people objecting to either the vaccine or questioning the pandemic of response needing to label people who don’t with pejoratives rather than engage with the facts of the latter.

This is similar to the idea that businesses should sell consumers what they make, when the truth is they should make what the consumers need, and then explain the benefits, so it is also what they want. Most consumers don't give a toss about anything "woke". It's only the right who get so excited about it. Many now care about the environment, and it's far from being just the young. Most though care much more about quality and value. The huge cynicism demonstrated above is only topped by the ability to try to link it to the grooming gang scandal and "Asian" votes, which is as ridiculous as it is creative.

Abuse of language. Edited by Stirlingsays (03 Feb 2022 7.08pm) Whoa! I wasn't aware we had a language policeman here. Language evolves. When circumstances changes, so does the environment that any word has to describe. Those who resist vaccination, for anything other than a medical reason, ought not be allowed to get away with the use of positive terms, like "pro-choice" to justify themselves. Therefore, anyone who refuses to join in the national effort against this, and any future pandemic, by declining the vaccines, is indeed an "anti-vaxxer". That's my opinion. Time alone will tell whether the language evolution I am using gains traction.

I'm sorry wissie but you've gone overboard here. We all have different opinions and approaches. Mine is harsh, I accept that, but there are times when firmness is needed, and times when compromise serves better. Thatcher knew that better than anyone. Just as I want all religion removed from public life, without exception, I want no sympathy extended to anyone deliberately refusing the vaccine. Except those who remain misinformed, and nervous. They need help.
