How many times are we going to moan that Zaha has had a poor game after he has played alongside Benteke ?
Not that its Bentekes fault but Zaha is not a striker he is a winger who thrives on isolating the full back . Playing where he did today just makes it too easy to double up on him

Now we know what Silva told him during that post match hug last week. "Play crap until Jan and they will have to accept our offer"

That's not on its tapping up surely?

Horrible little scrote always thought he had a slippery look about him but put it down too him being Spanish an thought nothing more of it. Now we no.

I too never trusted a Portuguese who looked too Spanish

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Yep. When they’re at us like they were today Zaha is easy prey in the middle. Striker? Was that some sort of deal to keep the peace? Tear it up and put Zaha on the right, yes the right, and Townsend on the left for periods of every game.

How can you blame him for wanting away when we play like that today - totally boring! Also he’s out of position- he has always been the most danger on the wing.

What with Roy’s boring tactics and the headache inducing drums of the singing section I think I’ll give the Villa game a miss !!!

Benteke is better with crosses coming in and wingers on the correct sides, Zaha is better out wide, Meyer is not able to influence the game playing as a winger...

What’s the bet nothing changes next weekend with how Roy sets us up?

It’s common knowledge that we struggle without Zaha.
Even if there wasn’t the issue about him wanting to leave, there is always the possibility of injury/suspension and we don’t seem to have devised a way of playing without him that carries any threat.
That’s the real crime - not having a plan B or alternative way of playing.
Other than Zaha (I exclude Townsend who has lost his pace) we have nobody who can go past people.
Fine if Sako and Kai Kai we’re not deemed good enough, but at least get replacements in who can offer some thrust down the flanks.

We now have lots of central midfielders to address that problem down the wings.

Yep, or he will set up like that against man United away, lose then go back to his 442 with no wingers.
