There, in all its naked glory, are the excuses of the right whenever faced with uncomfortable facts. See anyone who disagrees with them as a "leftist" and blame everything on a mythical" group of them conspiring together to deny the working class their rights. Then in an inversion of logic capitalism is the tool they use to achieve this, when I always believed any true "leftist" rejected capitalism in favour of collectivism. That Globalism demands a new way to monitor, administer and regulate trade to ensure it benefits everyone is undoubtedly true. What isn't is that isn't achievable. We, the people, have that power. We just need to use it. No-one dominates us. We are the dominant force. We need to learn how to enforce it. Coming out of the EU was a bad move in that respect. We need to be at the table.

Edited by PalazioVecchio (02 Feb 2022 4.46pm) Yeah, be at the table and lose pretty much every vote taken. But yeah, be at the table.....because. No thanks, something the majority made plain six years ago....never mind....the remainers can wait another 40 years before they get a vote, just like the leavers had to wait.....because...reasons.

The majority of the population will never be anything other than sheep. The elites have realized that using Leftist ideals is a great way to influence the youth, AKA the consumer. The useful idiots don't know they are being played by people who promote one thing and do the opposite. Globalism is stripping away everything that we hold dear and replacing it with homogenous misery for all but a tiny percentage.

I have no idea who you are referring to. The major players behind the EEC, to my mind, were Monnet and Adenauer, neither of whom were ever Nazis. Monnet was French, and resisted the Germans. Adenauer was removed as mayor of Cologne by the Nazis, frozen out by them and even briefly imprisoned by them.

It's another issue.

As I am not talking about the table which determines internal EU regulations but the big table which has to be constructed to determine how we move forward on regulating global trade in the future, this misses the point. The EU will have more clout at that table than we will, as little UK. This is something I expect the UN to sponsor and co-ordinate. When is unknown, but the need to do so looks obvious to me.

I've said it a million times, the leave vote was not about finances it was about independence and immigration....the latter we have been betrayed upon. Considering you have just supported two years of spending that is bigger than our WW2 spending it kind of makes me smile but hey. You are free to talk about what you think the great wrongs are from leaving but as you don't share the concerns of leave voters it's kind of pointless....but hey. I mean, if you want to talk to remainers cool....but these are discussions of six years ago. Edited by Stirlingsays (02 Feb 2022 8.07pm)

Yep as foreign policy it's precisely that. You can see it in the assumed moral superiority of its advocates....they aren't interested in the results compared to the past, it's their philosophy and that's it. No real difference to past imperialism, just different clothes.
