Whatever happens and whoever he picks on Monday the whole crowd needs to put its antagonism to one side and support the team like never before.
That support could get us a result and so the team need to know they will get applauded not booed all the way through.
Chelsea are awful and there for the taking!

What happens when the team sheet comes up showing Roy's usual tactics.
We then go a goal down after 5 minutes from Gallagher. (Like last night as they blazed Villa at Villa Park).
Are we all meant to applaud a fine shot from our saviour of two seasons ago? And then continue to cheer our ten men back policy dishing up absolute tosh football with our new £20m goalie defending the posts?
Sorry, but I can't see it happening.

Chelsea are not there for the taking. In the same way Brighton weren’t either. Although that doesn’t stop people making silly statements, I suppose

So sorry to have made such a stupid comment - silly me!
Chelsea have been awful but they played well last night - after my post - but before yours of course!

How long till we know? Roy will not change and without Olise/Eze with him at the helm, we are deemed to go down. With a whimper...

In his press conference just now Hodgson said there had been no conversations with Parish about his future.
He said he couldn’t do anything about the speculation and said this was not unusual when managers encountered poor results.
He said Olise’s injury was a bad one , but was at pains to exonerate the medical department and state that it was down to bad luck.
He said the fans were entitled to complain, but at the same time they would be needed to help the team going forward.
He confirmed that JRS was injured again.
I would say it was a defiant Hodgson who wants to get on with the job as opposed to a prickly and defensive one.

Roy is a 'yes' man

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I have just seen the press conference. If it is really the case that Parish has not even had a word and expressed his fears then he is a f***ing moron.

Roy also said they had a discussion about Olise and that he was ok to play the 2nd half... What are they talking about. You don't recover from a Hamstring issue in 4 days. You especially don't risk the most gifted player on a game already gone to the wind. You rest him for that game and probably the Chelsea game too then bring him back for a game that we have a much better chance of getting 3 points in. It is unbelievable what he said.

Finally if SP has not had a word then Roy will take it as everything is dandy in the eagles nest and stick with what he knows. I now fully expect to see:

Henderson still in Goal
(no reason to changeas he is doing so well and fills the back 9 with confidence)

a back line of:
Munoz Ward/Clyne Anderson Richards Mitchell.

Next back line of Ayew Hughes, Wharton, Lerma Schlupp.

Mateta up front.

Can't wait.

IMO, I think it is evident that Roy will be with us until the end of the season. We are not an attractive propersition to a new manager at this stage of the season and maybe werent at the beginning either.Which is why Roy got a year. I for one am going to step back and try to calm down. What is the point in venting my spleen when it will do nothing to change the situation. What will be will be. I just hope that the fringe players are given a chance and that they step up and show some fight.

I am so fed up with moaning. I have watched all of the press conference now.

I have to say I would love nothing more than Roy to shove mine and all of us bitching about things at the moment down our throats and I really mean that. I would love to see him turn it around and get a good send off at the end of the season.

He seems like a decent bloke and when you hear ex players speak about him, most (if not all) say good things about him.

However the frustration of the stubborn way he is going about things and the utter dross we are having to watch is leading to this weeks toxic posts on here and atmosphere at games. We can't all be wrong and he is really not helping himself (not that he probably cares about that).

It is clear he is here for now and probably until the end of the season. I want to get behind the team again. I want to enjoy the games again I just can't see it happening though.

So it appears Parish is not the least concerned over our current horrendous plight.
Perhaps he will wake up when he finds us in the Championship come May!!

This echoes the sentiments of a range of supporters with whom I have engaged in communication.Avid followers who are totally disillusioned and whose reservoir of positivity has run dry.

Roy would be best to stop talking in public.

Here is his latest nonsensical comments on BBC website....

Speaking again on Thursday, when looking ahead to Monday's match against Chelsea, Hodgson rejected supporters' claims that Olise already had a physical issue but confirmed he has now suffered a hamstring blow.

"It's devastating for him, for the club, for everybody really," Hodgson said.

"I don't think he was carrying an injury, I think it was more fatigue."

Why can't they admit that collectively they cocked up on various occasions with Olise's complex and serious hamstring injury and attempted recovery. To claim it was fatigue is ludicrous. Based on that comment alone, Roy is a liability to our players welfare. It is quite shocking.

I am out of steam for Roy and his judgement. He needs help.
