We are, but I think more significantly we haven't had Olise and Eze playing together bar a couple of games. Added to that we didn't replace Zaha, so when either Olise or Ebs aren't available we struggle going forward.

These are the simple facts of the matter. There are other players, injured or unavailable a times just to add to our problems. But those three alone represents one massive hit for a club like us, Wilf alone has to have been a massive lose of attacking possibility, they would have made Hodgson capable of sending out attacking formations week in week out, as it is the fates put a stop to that.
Never the less , it’s all Hodgsons fault for so many.

Dondonker or Chalobah would appear to be the obvious candidates, and Bryan Gil from Spurs, short term obviously,

I have been speaking to a chap apropos Dendoncker. He reliably informed me that the player can also be utilised in defence and has played in a back three. He is dangerous in the air and capable in both boxes.

Gil is a left-footed winger who has an impressive first touch and is a good dribbler and passer of the ball.On occasions his lack of physicality can be an issue.

Dendoncker is the archetypal Roy player.
A big physical unit, disciplined and competitive.
He's not technically outstanding or a particularly adept passer of the ball, but perhaps that would not be the first requirement for a role in defensive midfield.

If Dendoncker is a typical Roy player, Gil certainly would not be.
He's slight and not particularly disciplined or defensively aware.
However, he's fleet of foot with a trick or two and naturally left footed.
I would be happy for him to join on loan, but there must be a question mark over how much Roy would use him.

Just putting it out there as I've seen on BBC that Wednesday fans are already feeling nervous about somebody poaching their newish manager Danny Rohl.

"coaching setup he's put in place is working magic and self belief amongst the players is driving the team forward"

Wondering if anyone on here can add anything to that?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I have no idea but was Hodgson a large part of why Wilf left? I get the feeling it was.

One of his coaches is our erstwhile player Chris Powell.
Another is former Bolton and Hull striker Henrik Pedersen.

I would really like us to take a punt at someone like him, Michel of Girona, or Will sills of Reims, De Zerbi didnt have an outstanding record, good at Sassulo, and winning the league with
Shakhtar Donetsk is like Celtic winning the scottish league.

Hard as it may be, sometimes we have to trust the coaches. If he was a 13+ premier league striker he'd be getting a look in.

As its been stated by lots of people there are no examples of players not getting a look in at palace, but making it somewhere else.

So whilst we don't push youth in early, we also don't seam to get it wrong there either

John Kymani Gordon (last year's 'why don't we give him a go upfront?') has just concluded an unsuccessful loan at Cambridge.

Luke Plange has just concluded an unsuccessful loan at Carlisle where they chose not to extend it.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.

So are those 2 your suggestions for next manager?

I had the same feeling. Hodgeson substituted Zaha when he on a hat-trick during the 5-1 win over West Brom. Wilf was not pleased and gave Roy the “i’ll get you one day” look as he left the pitch. Zaha was happy with Vieira scoring 15 Premier League goals but couldn’t wait to get out when Roy was reappointed and pleaded for him to stay. Revenge is sweet.

So Wilf turned down a reported £200k per week 4 year deal because Hodgson was here for another year...I'm not buying that.

And although rumour and not fact, wasn't Wilf the leader of a player deputation to Parish regarding the lack of quality coaching under Vieira ?

Was very impressed by M'boro last night.

I didn't look at any of their players and think 'would love him at Palace', in fact some of them looked quite poor at times, however was the very epitome of the sum being far superior to the parts.

I would describe that as a win for the manager and his philosophy/approach. I'd love to see that at Palace, if not him.
