A lot of information on the TV channels and other meeja outlets.
A lot of it is unverifiable photos and footage of events. I find the commentaries to the coverage almost 'hysterical' in their attempts to whip up public sympathy.
I'm not saying aggressive events aren't happening. Just there is currently a lot of speculative stuff out there, as with any wartime situation where information is confused in the early stages.

When i get really worried, I was thinking of a trip to Amsterdam. But obviously overseas travel to Europe will be riskier.
I might have to book a few sessions with local escorts to get my rocks off before Armageddon comes.

Really, tell us more......

Time will no doubt tell. I can see this panning out in a number of ways, most of them bundled with plenty of misery for innocent citizens just trying to life a decent life.

One thing is guaranteed. Gas bills are going to go through the roof. And why?

Because Biden 'promised' to stop the Russians being able to pipe their gas to Germany. What the f*** has it got to do with him? And of course its just co-incidence that his fine, upstanding son Hunter Biden is close to Ukraine's 'Gas' industry (which effectively just maintains a pipeline taking Russian gas into Germany). Funny that.

Biden becomes the 'most popular US President ever' (LOL) and is meant to be undo all the terrible harms that Trump caused and here we are, with a major war in Europe, gas prices going through the roof and oil at $100 a barrel.

Disappointed but not surprised by the support for Russia on here.

Russia is the aggressor, because Putin is trying to take away from the s***-show that he has created in Russia.

Many people will die, what a waste of life, and for why?

What s*** show? You mean the massive reserves of foreign currency? The massive reserves of precious metals? The huge growth in living standards since he came to office?

Or is that the huge trade surplus that Russia maintains that is the real s***-show going on?

Look, I know I can come across about being a Putin fan-boy but I just look at actual facts rather than the bulls*** we are fed here in the West. And all I see in Putin is somebody who does what it says on the tin. For the benefit of the Russian people.

America have always been worried about Russia and Germany being close....It would have been impossible but imagine if Hitler and Stalin had combined permanently then the rest of Europe had no chance. A future united Europe isn't as desired in the US as some might think.

Our own much beloved, and staffed by the brightest and the best, FCO (according to some rather well to do acquaintances of mine, if you have a child too stupid to work in the City, you steer them towards the Army. And if they too dumb for that, only then do you suggest the FCO) have long shared the same aim but its ludicrous now. Germany has an insane zero-carbon policy agenda that means it has quite literally cut its own bollocks off when it comes to energy production and has made itself dependent on Russia. Berlin is not without fault here. But if Russia wants to sell its gas direct to Germany, then its nobodies concern outside of those two nations.

Wonder what would've happened if Patton was allowed to drive his 3rd Army all the way to Moscow.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I heard that Churchill wanted the war to carry on straight on against Russia. Patton was certainly up for it....before somebody got to him.

And both of them were off their heads if they thought they could fight the Russians in '45. Literally insane. The Red-Army was not without its faults but by the time it reached Berlin it had not only its tactics but also its equipment at a level that meant the allies would have been battering at a brick wall. Just looking after Germany in the post-war years nearly broke the UK, let along fighting for another 3 or 4 years, which war with the USSR would have involved.

Portillo, looking through the archives - found a letter from Churchill telling his top brass to get ready for war with Russia.

They must have headed it off somehow - as if everyone hadn't had enough by then.

You forgot to mention record tractor production and exceeding glorious five-year-plan. All those waving cornfields and ballet in the evenings. [Admire you self-awareness though.]

I think perhaps you are overlooking what had just happened in Japan.
