I think that would be the fair minded conclusion.

It still isn't a professional or sensible thing to be doing....still I know these guys would spend loads of time together and we know that some guys go in for 'insult' banter. While stupid and in my opinion insulting, if it was exchanged lad insults it's a mountain out of a molehill that needs dealing with in-house

But in today's 'no context, believe all victim' climate it's career destroying.

So are you saying it is an acceptable term if he uses it but not if used against him? Is it a racist term only in certain circumstances? If genuine surely makes him a hypocrite as has he not stated the term affected his mental health?
