Yep. The extinction clock is ticking down now. All over by 2030 at the latest. Only issue now for the BBC is to try and salvage what they can. When the Beeb has gone, we can turn our focus on Channel 4. Next one to go. These f***ers want a culture war, we will give them one.

Ooh...can we start with Murdoch media empire please and how they seem to effortlessly get away with biased(sometimes completely false and created) opinion on many fronts without being challenged esp. in The Commons?

The sooner we get rid of Sky the better. No issues from me on that. But, and I am not a subscriber, Sky is privately funded. I loathe Sky news with an absolute passion but I am not compelled to pay for it. I would love to see far less Murdoch influence on both our media and our politics but lets not forget that Tony Blair is Godfather to one of his kids. Labour have been far more in bed with Murdoch, ( or if the rumours are true, Murdochs ex-Mrs) than the Tories.

No problem with privately funded leftish TV.

I have a huge problem with the fact that the large body or right wingers in this country haven't had a TV channel for their views since Sky went soy.

The people who need to pick up their P45s are in the BBC because it isn't impartial....it has abused its remit for decades now and ignored the opportunity to change. They only represent Guardian readers.

The fact that its funding is protected until 2027 is another kick in the teeth and shows the duplicity of the Tories.

They say one thing and do another.

Very true. But enough of them are now rebelling to offer at least a modicum of hope. And defunding the BBC as a manifesto promise in 2024 is a definite vote winner. Especially in key Northern seats it needs to hang onto.

Personally I think we need to clamp down massively on the Left wing media because they are trying to do everything in their power to stamp out voices on the right. For example the Guardian is effectively supported by the tax payer via the amount of jobs advertising and so on it carries for the public sector. This is a fight to the death now.

If the Left wish to clamp down on notions of 'freedom of speech' and insist it is limited strictly to speech they approve of then we cannot just sit by and just acknowledge their right of opinion. We have to fight fire with fire.

This is the problem for us on the Right now. We are still trying to fight the Left on the basis that a level playing field is an ideal that should be defended. And all the time they effectively limit voices they disagree with and continuously push that agenda. There can be no return to the status quo. I want to see the Guardian wiped out. I want to see the BBC defunded. I want to see so much of their bulls*** removed from the public discourse because they have forfeited their right to have an opinion now by their assault on ours.

It's a strong argument with many good points.

I would say this on free speech though:

All through my time I've defended it and all through that time the leaders of the left and even so called conservatives who have not only changed the laws to silence us but their institutions, organsiations and activists have censored us, sacked us, doxxed us and done everything they could to ruin us.

The problem is.....it's not all.....there are people on the left who don't agree with any of it......Can I with conscience agree with closing them down as well?

Can it be said that we have stared down the abyss so long that we are adopting their tactics?

There is probably some kind of protection that can be afforded that doesn't mean our children aren't inflicted with transgenderism and sexuality propaganda, socialist talking points and revisionist history.

But mate....I can't deny I think it's all too late. Even grass roots in the Conservative party right now are feeling utterly betrayed.

Which left wing voices? I have not heard any valid ones for ages. And they all lend their support to organisations such as Antifa and BLM and Islamists who make no bones about their utter disdain for freedom of speech. This is the issue for me. They cannot back down from these positions now and are doubling down on them month after month. There are no 'reasonable' voices on the left anymore. We live in a world in which Chief Constables with bend the knee to avowed Marxists who want to defund their own forces. In which politicians will do similar and lend their support to an organisation that wants to destroy the traditional family unit. This is not a matter of semantics anymore when we can all agree to disagree then sit around the table and break bread.

So yes, we have to fight fire with fire. The Left's agenda is to destroy Western civilisation and effectively render white people as second class citizens in their own countries. Western Civilisation has to adapt accordingly. Freedom of speech allowed the cancer of the left to take hold. They presented themselves as the champions of it until it no longer suited their purposes. Now they despise it and make no bones about how much they want to have it removed.

Nobody or no thing can escape unscathed from a conflict. And this is what we are now involved in. A civil war. It has taken me a while to arrive at that position but now there can be no return to how things where.

I will be long dead before the outcome of this conflict is apparent but there is nothing to be gained anymore by trying to defend things as they were. It has passed. Bridges burnt and so on.

Labour are lefty scum.

The Tories are even worse because they are little more than Labour-lite.

You vote Tory you get Gary Linekar on your telly.

I agree and it's a very good post.....I just think those that weren't part of that move towards today's picture should be seen as exceptions.

The voices on the left that haven't agreed with the censorship....Ricky Gervais...Cleese, Rowan Atkinson.

In the US Chomsky has famously always objected against censorship....even Jimmy Dore agrees with Alex Jones's right to free speech and disagrees with his deplatforming and Dore once spat in his face.....Simon Harris, Jonathan Haidt,

If we ever gain the whip hand....should we step on those who had always objected to the censorship and suffered much criticism for taking that stand.

There's a pathway somewhere.

Freedom of expression is one thing, freedom to organise politically is different. This is where I am crossing a line I never thought I would. The Left have effectively infiltrated the public arena to such an extent now that there needs to be a through cleaning of the stables. They have proven themselves to be snakes in the grass, willing to use any and every method of destroying the very civilization they exploit.

Can somebody get up on stage and spew left wing bulls*** for purposes of comedy? Then without a doubt. Can somebody rise to head a county police force and think it acceptable to take a knee in public to BLM? No. That is where our entire system needs dismantling and rebuilding from scratch. Or invite some cross-dressing trans freak into a classroom to read some devient bulls*** to little kids, all on the tax-payers bill? No. Again, simply no longer acceptable.

There is no middle ground with these people anymore. And we need to stop trying to defend from that piece of real-estate because they own it. They dominate it. Victory only comes when they have been chased off. A complete reset.

This really is all about perception and personal politics with the BBC, when I watch it I don't really see left wing commie infiltrators making us hate ourselves, U do see pandering to middle England with minority programmes like countryfile, antiques roadshow and lots of other antique shows. Their main problem is that they try to pander to whatever is trending on social media to try and win back a younger audience, which won't happen. If you don't like whats on you can always switch over or do what the kids do and watch bitesize clips on the computer.
And no I haven't taken a knee despite having left wing tendencies.
And yes I am winding you up about the minority programmes.

All of which is fine up until the point that we do not have a similar choice in terms of paying for it. That needs to change. When that happens then the option of just switching channels becomes absolutely valid. And any decision about programming becomes purely about what the broadcaster wants to show.

A subscription only BBC can choose to replace the last night of the Proms with the Walworth Road Transgender Drum and Bass Collective doing a rousing version of 'The Red Flag' whilst doing the can-can dressed in Ra-Ra Skirts and wearing hobnailed boots and then the simple binary choice of watching or not is one down purely to personal taste.

But until then....
