Remember this is in the Champs League sandwich for the Scousers. Can't see Klopp putting out all the big guns, particularly if it is tight or needing something for the 2nd leg. Tough game but not insurmountable for Stoke. Of course if we run over the Foxes ourselves then we are home. Leicester don't have much to play for and the mood music coming out from them is they are experimenting for next season. With home advantage over Stoke think we have a good chance to have them out of sight by next Sat eve. COYP !! I think it's probably a good thing that Liverpool play Tuesday, Wednesday and not the other way around. This means they have longer to rest and prepare. Also playing early Saturday game means they then get longer to prepare for the game next week. It's also notable that the game is at Anfield, which does give Liverpool an advantage. Whatever team they pick they should be winning the game against Stoke.

Well, looks like we're alright ! A sort of cause for a mini celebration if we beat Leicester on Saturday. We're not mathematically safe, but more or less safe, with 3 games to go. Very happy. One word: Oldham

This rests my nerves a little bit for early kick off Saturday.

Amen to that. I know Palace is a roller coaster but it would be nice for one season to start with a Manager who has the players he wants and we don't spend the season flirting with relegation. Oh well after 50 years of hurt it will happen one day. Just the once I remember this happening -- Coppell with the Wright & Bright team in 90/91. Added Ninja and we came 3rd. Well, one can dream... A second, full season with Roy; Wilf staying; Wickham or Sorloth coming into form; keep RLC (either perm or on another loan); who knows...

Plenty of Palace fans are hung up on the Oldham episode, but chill out lads it ain’t going to happen this time. Both Southampton and Stoke got to have unbelievable runs and so have Huddersfield, Swansea and even West Ham all this coupled with us losing all three remaining games. Liverpool can’t afford to lose to Stoke because they have Chelsea coming up, lose two and they could find themselves out of the top four.

I'm not hung up on the Oldham episode but, despite how the league table looks right now, we are not safe yet. Imagine if Saints beat Bournemouth on Saturday and we lose to Leicester..? How confident would we feel after that??? We are capable of winning one, two or all three of the remaining games but equally, if the nerves are frayed, we could come unstuck. I'm afraid it is still a case of wait and see. Edited by mansekotka (24 Apr 2018 6.24pm)

Lets look at it this way Swansea have to play Chelsea and then two sides below us. Currently all three are below us so two of the three or all three will drop points. All three play top six sides. Hiuddersfield play Everton Man City amd Chelsea away and Brigton pñay Burnley Man U and Man City every team will be suffering from frayed nerves. Considering oit fixtures or manager and players I am very confident will be playing in the EPL next uear

It’s been a couple of games since i did the score predictions for the relegation run in. Here’s the result from my predictions. This highlights just how tight it could still be if Palace only pickup two more points. Attachment: 6E4762F4-A082-4A28-86A8-3941D713DA3F.png (276.23Kb)

Point to note: it doesn’t do the goal difference, in the example I attached it would be huddlesfield that finished 3rd bottom not Swansea.

Now Liverpool lead 5-0!! Of course a good performance today may or may not imply another one at the weekend. After all that Roma side knocked Barcelona out in the last round, but tonight they have been complete and utter toilet. See what I mean? 5 - 2 now, two away goals. How funny would it be to see the bin dippers chuck away a five goal lead? Of course that probably means Klopp will field the U18 XI against Stoke. Edited by chateauferret (24 Apr 2018 9.47pm)
