Not convinced by Monk - Swansea fans don't seem to rate him Would prefer Silva, Warner or Jokanovic But would strongly prefer Monk to (deep breath): Coleman, Woy, Giggs, Moyes, Mancini, Ranieri

"Wheels came off" at Swansea and he was sacked 2015-16 with only 3 league wins in their first 15 games. I would be very happy with Monk.

Did well at Swansea and Leeds but not for me. Doesnt really have a network for signing players and dont think he would last long. His brother Harry helps him out with the most sticky situations. Come, come BW!

Just out of interest, why? He's managed at 2 teams bigger than Bournemouth in both the championship and premier league and on neither occasion did what Eddie Howe is doing at Bournemouth. I dont have a good answer for you. But given whats available if its not Mancini the rest are all just as suspect. Dont want Roy, nor Raineri, not convinced about Silva-out of whats available who would you say is clearly more worth taking a chance on? Or who is less of a chance?

There was some initial talk of Popovic, but that seems to have cooled off - apparently he's had a bad season - but he's deffo "one of us"

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Gary Monk' by Guntrisoft Don't think Gary Monk would be a good fit at Palace. He likes possession football and has always said he wont compromise on his preferred style of play. This may explain why he struggles to get out of losing runs when teams need a dirty win or two just to get some confidence back. However, he might fit Parish's normal mantra of wanting a British manager with Premier League experience.

Is there really a stand out candidate? Every time a manager left or been sacked since promotion there's always been a firefighter to save our season. For me this is the biggest appointment under cpfc 2010 and the American investors.
