It's a 41 page thread and counting and if it were an 'RIP' one I would sincerely hope it would stick to just that but it isn't so with nearly 500 replies it is naturally going to meander a bit as nearly all threads do. If people do cross a line they are rounded on very quickly. A bit of self-policing.

The Fed puts up the nominees. The President gets to choose one. Hardly a choice tbh.

The President can also fire them...with cause but fire them nevertheless. I know where you are coming from but I don't agree that the President is a supplicant to the reserve when ultimately he chooses its leadership. I frequently go off topic in a thread. I think if it's just for a bit then most of us can live with it. I get it that some posters p1ss off some more than others but it's all just knockabout at the end of the day. Opposition is ok. Nothing we say here ultimately amounts to a hill of beans.
