Whilst it sticks in the craw the extra £3m will be worth it if he scores 10+ goals in the season. Edited by Lyons550 (05 Jul 2016 2.38pm) Can work either way. As it gets closer to the transfer window closing, Liverpool may be getting more desperate as they will want to offload his wages and free up a decent space in the squad. But equally there could be other clubs that come out of the woodwork and push the price up, although I can't imagine that will happen now as effectively Liverpool have set what they see as a reasonable price. Not many teams will now go above that amount. The problem for us is similar to what happened with his Belgian counterpart - the longer it goes on, the greater the chance that someone else decides to bid the same amount and he deems them a "bigger" club and moves to them instead. Which is why we're currently in the weaker position. We need to get this done quickly if we want to get it done. Liverpool can afford to wait a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure why we don't go for Balotelli instead. Probably half the cost and didn't I read somewhere that he was going to win the Ballon d'Or next year

Watching that, he's got everything. Scores inside and outside the box, good in the air, strong, great finisher. We need this to happen.

Looks well worth the investment on that evidence, as long as he has a desire to play for the club.

Great watch that. Would there be any one out there who would know what his success on his penalty kicks is?

Chelsea definitely are a bigger club but I get your point, for the sake of a couple of million that the club obviously have. We should get this over the line as soon as possible. A team like juve come in tomorrow and we've got no chance.

I've seen that video before and I think CB thrives on battling the defenders and finding his space and working out how to beat a defence and keeper. This I think will help us. What Liverpool tried to do was feed him with the floor pass from wingers. Oddly he had more time and a better chance of scoring but more often than not it went in a random direction 20-30 feet in the air. This is the sort of thing we can't plan and deliver. Most of our goals are a tad scruffy or spontaneous. We cannot buy the best players out there so have to use other means than perfection.
