But equally there could be other clubs that come out of the woodwork and push the price up, although I can't imagine that will happen now as effectively Liverpool have set what they see as a reasonable price. Not many teams will now go above that amount.

The problem for us is similar to what happened with his Belgian counterpart - the longer it goes on, the greater the chance that someone else decides to bid the same amount and he deems them a "bigger" club and moves to them instead. Which is why we're currently in the weaker position. We need to get this done quickly if we want to get it done. Liverpool can afford to wait a couple of weeks.
