Yeah, all those dead in Sweden....According to the myths you swallowed they should be pushing half a million when instead it's under four thousand. Sounds like you've been the one swallowing myths, who was ever saying there would be half a million deaths in Sweden? They have a population of 10.2 million, with a worst case death rate of 1% they would be pushing 120,000 tops. Edited by SavoyTruffle (24 May 2020 1.14pm) Edited by SavoyTruffle (24 May 2020 1.16pm)

According to Imperial college projections, when applied to Sweden. 'if permitted to continue – would pass 40,000 deaths shortly after May 1, 2020 and continue to rise to almost 100,000 deaths by June.' We are a week away from June and Sweden are still under 4000 deaths. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 May 2020 1.36pm)

So people are dim if they don't adhere to government advice, and yet they're also 'desperate dickheads' for questioning Cummings actions? Maybe you should make your mind up about what your stance is before you start typing next time, as you appear to simultaneously hold them all. Imagine if you will those unable to visit dying loved one in hospital, unable to even attend their funeral due to government diktat. Then they turn on their TV and this cretin has been travelling half way across the country while infected with coronavirus to visit his parents, and in uniformity the very same politicians wagging their finger at the general public say it's A-OK. Yeah of course it is. Edited by BlueJay (24 May 2020 12.45am) I might have a tad more sympathy if the stone throwers had not displayed the worst hypocrisy ever seen in Britishpolitics over the last couple of years and a rabid and often unjustified desperation to attack the government. On yer way.

Edited by Stirlingsays (24 May 2020 1.27pm) the Swedish population is over six time smaller than ours, so per capita they are only just behind us now, and had the highest per capita death rate in Europe last week. They are not on a downward turn - like USA their death rate dropped slightly but has plateaued - their lax policy has proved a relative failure compared to Germany, New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea, but they've done OK if you compare them with glorious Blighty or bonkers Trumpland.

Sweden are very obviously on a downward turn as is the virus everywhere in Europe....regardless of lockdown policy. If I remember correctly Taiwan and South Korea both did partial rather than full lockdowns. They had learnt from SARS ten years ago and don't trust the CCP at all. Germany's health system has performed better than ours however there are some suspicions over its figures and its population density is lower than the UK's.....603 people per square mile to our 725 New Zealand has a population density of 48 per square mile. Hard to believe we are all on the same side at 3 o clock on a saturday, were on the same side in the biggest military victory sine ww2, the storming of the famous north bank at arsenal, and probably all bellowed out the famous song on the way back through the victoria line on the way home, battle weary but victorious! Thanks for reading, now feel free to continue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

My next door neighbour was complaining bitterly about Cummings breaking the lockdown rules saying that it was one rule for us and another for them. She had obviously forgotten that clapping on the doorstep every Thursday wasn't good enough for her as she organised a street party every Thursday evening complete with music and DJ Hypocrisy of the first order Snap just got off a zoom conference with a bunch of lefties all bitterly condemning Cummings. One of them admitted she had driven to Shropshire to spend a couple of nights in her holiday cottage others admitted to all sorts of social distancing violations. The lack of self awareness made me laugh they couldn't even see the hypocrisy of their position.

You make a good point but the stone throwing is universal. Those who hitch their wagon in steadfast fashion to any off-the-shelf political outlook all end up suffering from the same malady. They may as well be ranting at a mirror.
