Todays second download is a set by Norah Jones that was recorded at Studio 104, Paris in December 2009. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. I've only posted a couple of boots by NJ in the past - a couple of studio albums as well. This is a top sounding show - thoroughly recommended... Todays first download is a bootleg by E.L.O that was recorded in 1974. I don't know where it was recorded or exactly when!. There is no info on the artwork or on the notes - not that it really matters as the music is what counts. This is a top show - the quality is superb and the audience love it. Boots by ELO in good quality are very, very rare - so when I saw this one, I grabbed it. The artwork says "This is a live recording and the sound quality is not as good as an approved release" - that may be so, but this still sounds top notch for a bootleg. I've seen this on bootlegs before and they're usually really great sounding shows.... this is no exception and is thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by R.E.M that was recorded in Athens, Georgia, USA in 1992. This is in superb quality and is a top sounding boot. Some real R.E.M. classics on this one inlcuding "Man On The Moon" "Losing My Religion" and "Fall On Me" all being played. The final two tracks were recorded in Washington in January '93. The band play an acoustic version of "One" and are joined by the band U2 onstage for this.... If you like R.E.M then grab this - it's a good one!... Todays first download is a set by the legendary motown singer Smokey Robinson. Boots by SM in good quality are very, very rare - I've only ever seen one other. This is a show recorded at the Baltimore City Fair in 1986 and it's in superb quality. Some great stuff on this one - but not his most famous song "Tears Of A Clown". He does play great versions of his hits "I Second That Emotion" "Being With You" and "Tracks Of My Tears". If you like Smokey Robinson, this is a must have..... Todays second download is a set by STYX that was recorded in Providence, Rhode Island in 1975. This is in sueprb quality and was broadcast by the famous King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show. I doubt if this is the complete show - rather all that was broadcast as it only runs for just under 30 mins. Still, this rocks big time and the version of "Midnight Ride" is fantastic... great prog rock. This is great stuff - thoroughly recommended.
