Almost the perfect storm - maybe not quite what she wanted a couple of months ago, but go to the country now and seriously increase her majority. I wonder how many will support an early dissolution. It will be interesting seeing her try to get a repeal of the Fixed Term Parliament Act through the Lords so she can have her panic election.

This is a new one on me and I read the Guardian this morning forecasting an early election. So this is a Cameron thing to drag out his govt. for the full 5 years but isn't it also tieing them down?. Could well be a lib-dem and labour recovery by then may even be sensible but I need a rain-check on that.

If it was one of your lot they would probably be asking President Putin to do it.

The Tories have rarely agreed on Europe, so I think he was brave, and when he lost he did the honourable thing. That's one point of view ... I think it's more likely Cameron realised he'd f****d up big time and got the hell out of it! However, there are equally inept individuals on both sides of the great divide who realised they were out of their depth after the referendum result and who have disappeared into the background or quit.

Well, what do you intend or would like to replace capitalism with then? For that is what has spawned all the above. The darling economic system of the right-wing. If you want a revolution that's great but you must have a plan. A cunning plan. Real capitalism and real free-markets would be a start, not the current crock of manipulated b-llocks that we have had forced upon us by 'the elite'.

Its a constitutional fact that referendums are advisory. We are a Parliamentary democracy. We are, but unfortunately Parliament didn't step in to define the process before the referendum took place nor stop it because a decision reached by a democratic majority might undermine their authority. The 2016 referendum should never have happened!!! But we can still be like Eire and keep having farcical referendums until we get the predetermined outcome by "democracy"! Observers on the continent of Europe must truly be pi$$ing themselves laughing? Personally, I'd prefer to play the long game and have full discussion on the issues and alternatives. I don't know why we have to bow to pressure to invoke Article 50 in the short-term other than to appease Europe, markets and self-interest groups. Did we sign up to any time line? Let's face it, this referendum has been really badly thought out. Didn't any of the leavers realise the fact that triggering a50 needed rubber stamping by parliament. As it is it stops us rushing into brexit and taking a more sensible and pragmatic approach rather than following the whims of the press. The (owned by elite foreigner) sun really took the piss out of their readers today by moaning about the woman who brought the case to court because she is part of the foreign elite! How the f*** is the s*** stirring, rage and anger inducing tripe we see in the likes of the mail express et al helping us to the best outcome? Edited by nickgusset (04 Nov 2016 8.10pm)

It's a shambles. No if's nor but's. Yet you still hear people saying 'let's get on with it and do it now' as if it weren't. They are idiots. And they want us to follow their lead without protest or scrutiny and accept 'the democratic voice'. Fvck that.
