Having a warped sense of humour isn't very funny. It's both predictable and rather pathetic.

Practically every sentence of what you posted is laughable.

Only to those with a warped sense of humour.

I can accept the Orban apologists disagreeing for their reasoning is warped too. They see nothing wrong with this awful man. But even they won’t see it as funny,

Orban is the desired future.....A politician actually enacting policies the majority in his country want.

Perhaps we could say he's an Orbanism.....he evolved and so should you old bean.

A future not desired by me or any true democrat. Whilst Hungary is still impacted by its communist heritage it remains too close to Russia for comfort. The Orban government supports and encourages the "conservative" media whilst suppressing the liberal media. For anyone who believes in free speech this ought to be a red flag! Orban's government is a corrupt kleptocracy, members of his family and friends have grown rich on his back.

This isn't the future. It's a lingering vision of the past. It's not evolution. It's regression.

We don't elect politicians to do what we want! We elect politicians to do what we need. Populism is a road to ruin.

There are so many fundamental aspects wrong to your opinions but god knows it's been stated many times before.

What can I say, Hungary doesn't want the EU's replacement of Europeans, its hyper feminism. Its attack on Christianity and heterosexual family structures and of course its alphabet activists with their 'bumsex imperialism'.

I mean, god forbid anyone elect a politician to do what we want.

No, we must elect politicians to do what we need.....which weirdly enough always seems to be what Wisbech wants.

Yawn.

Away from the strictly political here and more on the objective is Ray Dalio - one of the most successful fund managers ever - on the world situation and how to prepare for the changing world order.

The EU doesn't want this nonsense either! They are just the right's interpretation of a natural societal evolution that they don't like.

We do elect politicians to do what we want. In our representative democracies, we want politicians to use their collective judgement to make decisions on our behalf. What I, or anyone else, wants is irrelevant.

He is certainly much more reasonable and objective than most of the others you have posted links to here. He seems well-intentioned, properly researched and raises genuine concerns for discussion.

This is on Twitter. Who posted it? It sounds like me:-

"Anything that requires change can be difficult. Yet in order to learn and grow and make progress, you must change. When facing a change, ask yourself: Am I being openminded? Or am I being resistant? Confront your difficulties head-on, force yourself to explore where they come from, and you'll find that you'll learn a lot"

It isn't me! it's Ray Dalio.

He is giving investment advice about being prepared for the future we could face. That's wise. He isn't making predictions. He is advising caution.

Politics is one side of life. Much of it is Punch and Judy and other considerations exist.

I think Dalio is pretty critical of how we got here and of western financial policy regardless of what party held the reigns.....but I don't think he's doing it to score points politically. His job was and is to do well for his investors and he's done that extremely well.

On that we will have to differ old bean as we will in your trust of elites.....in a proper meritocratic system which didn't fail so many people upwards....I might feel differently but I call a spade a spade.

That's a strange conclusion. Because what I concluded was akin to "don't be scared. Go for it"
