EFA.

But I understand Lord Bucket Head refused to appear on Woman's hour.

That's what I said wasn't it.

I must admit that it did take a seriously bad campaign to lose seats to the current Labour Party.

It's a bit of a mess. Much of the money never gets collected as people go abroad or don't earn enough to hit the threshold. Also loads of bad debt in it. It has a very long lifespan and it isn't secured. And it's lots of fairly small loans that takes an awful lot of administration.

So you're suggesting it may actually be feasible to provide free university educations without any change in taxation?

Doubt it when you consider the accounting treatment. Still potentially a good investment. Likely students would need loans for living costs in any case though.

It was cross party..Now we are heading back fpr another dose of that infection. Our young people must be furious with us old folk just hope they continue working for our pensions

I think you'll find that we were already in the Common Market when we were referred to as the sick man of europe

So, May has chucked a couple of sacrificial lambs to the wolves. Don't think it will help.

The big beasts of her party probably are just making sure they have all their pieces in place before a leadership challenge.

Could be a very very interesting NEXT election. Don't think Labour will be quite so happy to play ball and grant an early dissolution now she's on the ropes, they'd far rather a Tory government continue on a razor edge, dreading the first byelection.

She has sacked her generals leaving her alone in her bunker with just a revolver and a bottle of cyanide.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I don't think that they'll challenge just yet. There's a lot of awkward stuff to get sorted so let May do the donkey work and then there'll be a challenge

Labour can't really say the country's turning to s*** but we won't agree to an election, it would make them look silly and weak. Also that they were putting party first and we've seen how well that goes down.

Whatever happens we live in interesting times.
