Todays first download is a set by Dave Mason that was recorded in California in 1975. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. Dave has been around for a long time and has played with some top bands/musicians - Traffic, Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones - even Michael Jackson and Mama Cass!. This set features songs from his Traffic days as well as covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix. This is a top show and is thoroughly recommended. Todays second download is a set by Steppenwolf that was recorded in Texas in 1968. For a bootleg thats nearly 45 years old this is in superb quality. Steppenwolf boots from this era are very rare and I was amazed when I saw this one - so I immediately grabbed it. The notes I saw weren't sure if this is an FM or Soundboard recording - but it's great quality so it doesn't really matter. Steppenwolf were a crackin' band and this is a top show - thoroughly recommended. Todays extra download is a bootleg by Tom Petty's first band Mudcrutch. These are outtakes from Mudcrutch and TP's first solo album. Afternoon staffie...... Was just trying to download an album & because the hosting site was MEGAUPLOAD, the site is down. Q?, what happens now & how do we go about downloading stuff from a while ago that we either missed or forgot about?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

MegaUpload - Closed A lot of people are uploading to sites like Mirrorcreator - which places you files on multiple hosting sites at once. Until things sort themselves out, it's going to be a cat and mouse game... it may take a while to calm down. As for files you've missed or forgotten about, I'm afraid they've gone.

Todays first download is a set by Elton John that was recorded at the Nashville Arena, Nashville, TN in 1996 while he was touring on "The Big Picture Tour". This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and is top notch. The Big Picture album was dedicated to Gianni Versace who was murdered shortly before the albums release. The album did well commercially reaching #9 in the US and #3 in the UK. I've not posted that many bootlegs by EJ in the past - but this is a good one and is thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by Heart that was recorded in Kansas City, MI in 1976 - the exact date isnt listed - but between October-December 76. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show. There were two versions of this show available - one had all the DJ chatter between songs or this version which has had the DJ chat removed. I've only posted a few boots by Heart in the past - this is another good one... which is thoroughly recommended..... Hi staffie, First request in a while. I know you might be having problems with the US on a huge crackdown for music downloads so if you do have any problems don't worry about it. If I may, could I request probably one of the best albums of the last decade: Artist: Coldplay No sign of the New Year's Concert a month ago? In case you have to stop this thread I'd like to put in my thanks and gratitude while I have the chance to.
