Bit weird how Dominic Cummings isn't trending on Twitter despite him being top of the news right now. Sinister or does his surname get blocked via an algorithm for sounding a bit naughty?

All the cabinet tweeting basically the same thing this morning if you needed any further proof who holds the power in this country.

France and spain are imposing 14 day quarantine from 8th June as we are. People have what they wanted now. Probably best not to book a holiday.

France is reciprocal so may do a deal with the U.K. Same for Greece. Spain keeping their ban is economic suicide and I expect it to be lifted before our summer holidays.

According to the media and the left Cummings is some kind of unfeeling monster. Well he has probably just done the most human thing you can do. He was sick and so was his wife and they have a child to take care of so he went home to mum and dad. I don't know if he has broken the rules but how many of us would have done the same. This is just a storm in a teacup.

This is just a storm in a teacup. I don't particularly like the guy and it may not have been the wisest or most sensitive thing to do in the circumstances but I'm not sure he put anyone else at risk with his actions which, after all, is the primary aim of social isolation. I suppose we look to public figures to be setting an example but there has been a bit of a witch-hunt mentality with lockdown, and some folk seem to be hell-bent on "outing" anyone who in any way appears to be possibly flouting the guidelines of behaviour, often without knowing the story behind a person's actions.

This is just a storm in a teacup. He has broken the rules. The rules were don’t travel at the time and isolate if you have symptoms. If one in a house has symptoms then you assume you all have. It’s more hypocrisy. What’s more important is the shower of s*** decisions, not the easy headlines, but they are both valid for high criticism. Edited by Rudi Hedman (23 May 2020 2.17pm)
