I’m not in the habit of making things up.
It was around 5.30pm on sports report on radio 5.
I was surprised when the reporter said this because Hodgson is usually quite diplomatic, but he has been quite honest about Zaha’s desire to leave and ‘beef with the ownership.’

Wasn't suggesting you were! Just surprises me, I had genuinely thought it was about Wilf's ambition to play in a better time in a European competition.

Was listening to radio 5 earlier and the reporter said he asked Hodgson why Zaha wanted to leave and Hodgson replied ‘money.’
At least this clears up the issue about just wanting Champions league etc.and explains his interest in Everton.
He’s already really well paid at Palace but you can see the temptation of supposedly another 70k per week which Everton offered.
Which of us in reality would turn this down if on offer?
Would seem foolish to offer him more money given our already large wage bill.

I heard that too and the reporter had no reason to be lying !
This does put it all in a different light but it highlights just how poorly Wilf has been advised - he’d be better off switching agents rather than clubs !!!

But was missed every week last season and sure will be the same this season Interesting to see good support from the black boys bar the guy in the centre on sky highlights suggesting he’s a W***er Need to support the team and as he’s a major part of it need to get behind him and if you don’t want to then give your seat up to someone who does or when things start going wrong as they do in periods every season could get toxic

I want the team to do well without Zaha. He doesn't want to be here now and that's perfectly understandable. He's not the Messiah anymore. He's done us proud but it's over and we need to compete in the Prem as a team and not apparently reliant on an individual player. Psychologically it will be better for the team when he goes in my opinion.

Was that a Saddleback or a Gloucestershire Old Spot that just flew past my window?
