What do you mean by getting in bed with. It's easier for those that don't know (what with all the blatant disinformation in the election campaign - garden tax? That was made up yet plenty bought the lie) if you actually say what they did. I mean that after the Lib / Lab pact collapsed the unionists propped up JC government. And it came at a price!!!!!

The reaction against the DUP on these boards is ridiculous but expected of those who basically aren't pro British state. They mistakenly feel emboldened. This vote wasn't for their point of view in regards of being anti British state.....or in their minds against imperialism. Actually I'm glad Scottish Tories have got in on an anti ref agenda.

It was cross party..Now we are heading back fpr another dose of that infection. Our young people must be furious with us old folk just hope they continue working for our pensions

Nice swerve, considered dodgeball? If you want to talk about now it is concerning me that the governments neutrality with NI has been compromised. I thought it was a legal requirement actually part of the good friday accord. To get into bed with a unionist party how do the people over there feel.

Look, anyone can see that this government isn't going to last one year, let alone the full five. Although the Tories and the DUP are, on the face of it, spiritual bedfellows, the DUP's support is limited to a shared vision on Brexit (and they even differ on key aspects of that). The alliance is built on a swamp. The Tories are going to struggle to get any meaningful legislation through Parliament - I can't, for instance, see how the next Finance Bill is going to go through successfully. The question is, can the Opposition muster sufficient numbers and unite successfully to drive a wedge between the Tories and the DUP? Will Labour, the LibDems and SNP work together to make that happen? All that has to happen for this "arrangement" to unravel is for the government to lose a critical vote in Parliament. That will happen sooner rather than later and they'll have no option other than to go

February? That long? I suppose maybe it's after the summer break, party conferences, Autumn statement and Christmas. I just hope that there's either someone decent to lead the Tories or a Corbyn coalition doesn't ruin us. Oh and there's actually a Brexit worth having. I guess plenty feel the same.

I definitely don't take out the pro/anti British situation. I do believe in treating people fairly but if that isn't given back that makes a big difference to me. I know nothing about corruption, isn't that a northern Ireland matter?

God help us. Thank God Corbyn failed if that's the quality of those in his corner.
