Right decision. Not worth it. We chucked this game away as we usually do anyway.

Every player now, especially in the premier, is a business. So Wilf, is no different.
As fans if we want to keep enjoying the game for the games sake, we have to put that to one side.
If Wilf keeps business off the field, there is no problem, as we can keep that little bit of make believe that makes supporting clubs and players worthwhile..
Whatever ,Wilf ,is still here, support him until he isn’t.

I don’t expect him to play today and for that reason I don’t expect us to get any points but if he does play and he looks like he’s up for it we need to get behind him and forget about everything that’s happened.

I think that Wilf not getting to Everton will be a blessing in disguise for all.
Everton was not his ideal destination but became it because of circumstance.
We will have him till January and he could help us till then to build up points.
Then transfer window opens with possibly bigger clubs coming in for him than Everton so he gets more chance of playing champions league

And Palace, get to consider how to move on without him. Including hopefully lining up new players, before he actually leaves.

Was listening to radio 5 earlier and the reporter said he asked Hodgson why Zaha wanted to leave and Hodgson replied ‘money.’
At least this clears up the issue about just wanting Champions league etc.and explains his interest in Everton.
He’s already really well paid at Palace but you can see the temptation of supposedly another 70k per week which Everton offered.
Which of us in reality would turn this down if on offer?
Would seem foolish to offer him more money given our already large wage bill.

Would like to hear this for myself, sounds surprising (also surprising that Hodgson would say it in public)

Cannot understand people idolising someone who does not want to be at the club. Yes I want him to play and be at his brilliant best, but I won’t be singing his praises. I’ve got too much self respect.

Time to go Alan

I’m not in the habit of making things up.
It was around 5.30pm on sports report on radio 5.
I was surprised when the reporter said this because Hodgson is usually quite diplomatic, but he has been quite honest about Zaha’s desire to leave and ‘beef with the ownership.’

I would interpret that as money for Will Salthouse and the "advisors" as much as the player.
