I think there are un-answered questions though. If it was there intent to kill loads of people why didn't they target a bigger station such as London Bridge/Charing X? Did they only target a "smaller" station because they didn't want to kill, but just to "prove a point"? Is there more still to come? Why was there no warning? Today in london was really eerie. I work right near Tavistick Place, the amount of people was amazing. Its something I don't want to experiance it again. It hasn't sunk in yet, but when it does it will be horrible.

I'd just like to say I hope ever everyone is ok. I sincerely hope that our security peole can trace the bast*rds that did this and top them. I don't care about going through the courts anymore. This is now outright war with these scum and I don't care about their 'human rights' anymore.

Yes but as the Police commisioner said, they don't know who did it. Even though a terrorist group admitted to it, it may not of been them. Even more terrorist groups will most likely admit to it in the next few days. I'm not sticking up for them, but don't immediately assume it was an Islamic group. We haven't had official confirmation/proof yet.

That's what I mean. Loads of terrorist groups would love to be resposible for this. For all we know it could be the IRA or E.T.A

Personally, I don't think this is the end of it. They found more devices which didn't go off, and I think the terrorists are sick enough to do the same thing tomorrow, when everyone thinks it is over. There is no way to win the war on terrorism. If we find/kill Bin Laden, there will just be revenge attacks on the western world. There isno way to remove every single terrorist on the planet, because there will always be more. But what we can do is lower the threat of terrorism. I know it sounds as if i don't give a fvck about anyone else, but it must have been so easy. There should be metal detectors and a bigger police prescence on public transport to prevent this kind of thing from ever happening again, in this country or in any other

For all we know it could be the IRA or E.T.A Unfortunately there are a number of indicators that do point to Al-Quaeda. Principally there is the co-ordinated nature and the number of attacks. Al-Quaeda are well known for performing several attacks in a short space of time. There have also been admittedly unsubstantiated claims of culpability from Islamic fundamentalist groups linked to Al-Quaeda already. And it also fits in with timing, as Al-Quaeda has normally attacked at morning rush hour to cause maximum disruption and maximum coverage in news agencies.

Traditionally Al-Quaeda do not give warnings, unlike the IRA. It seems unlikely they are more to come, at least for the time being. But if they had really wanted to cause maximum number of deaths, they would have launched chemical attacks on the tubes. It would have killed hundreds more. This has been designed to cause maximum disruption, a number of deaths, and spread fear throughout Britain. And most importantly send a message to Tony Blair and the other G8 leaders.
