Just watched some of the Boro game. They play a good counter attacking style. Carrick anyone? Edited by Spiderman (06 Jan 2024 8.43pm)

I think such is the quality in the Premier League most managers style of play will get worked out sooner or later and then it will largely be down to the quality of the players at their disposal as to how well they do. The funny thing with Roy was that before Viera took over we were dull and boring but accumulated points, but that 10 or so games at the end of last season post Viera we were attacking and entertaining. We have gone back into Roy 1.0 been dull and boring but picking up points. Given Roy is capable of playing a more entertaining brand than is currently on offer, why is he not doing so? It would appear the only real difference is that we are missing Doucoure?

Added to that we didn't replace Zaha, so when either Olise or Ebs aren't available we struggle going forward.

Yes, which is why I think our game will improve enough if we can loan a temporary Doucoure replacement, after Ayew returns and our key players stay/get fit.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |
