As could half the chairmen in the league with regards to home fans standing and all chairmen in the league with regards to away fans. It’ll be poor crowd handling that’ll cause ‘a tragedy’ you speak of, not 1 fan per seat standing in front of it. You’ll keep trying, but it’s happening anyway. I hope Palace have done their due diligence on this. All the media traffic has put a spotlight on what was once 'got away' with. Any form of incident which could be deemed as created by the club would see the lower Holmesdale possibly closed at least short term whilst the lawyers circled. I have no idea how they could police the proposed E section as seated singing without major confrontations and crowd control issues.

Wasn't SP supposed to be meeting with the disgruntled fans? has that happenned? Not yet and I doubt it will. He didn't even mention anything in his programme notes on Sunday which I was a little surprised about.

I think it's going to cause a big problem having them at the back of the stand. They're going to want to surge forward and abuse oposition players every time there's a controversial decision.

I sympathise with all but my take on it, is that the atmosphere generated by the HF is good for TV and hence the reason SKY/BT etc like coming - this obviously generates more income. Money is therefore the key factor here. Yet we've four consecutive PL televised games (and a total of seven this season, so far) without them which blows that theory right out of the water.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

The law only provides that clubs should provide seats for all supporters, not that supporters must sit on them.It is not illegal to stand in seated areas but it is against ground regulations and how these are enforced is a matter for the individual clubs.

I reckon there should be a bar at the front of them like we used to have when you could stand in the Holmesdale, with maybe a couple more to control surges further back. I had my very own standing space at the bar. Nothing changes...

The stewards did get control of block b becoming overcrowded so they can do the same in block E.

You have if you can't tell the difference. The only decent singing is when Glad all over is being played and that's only from the Dave Clark Five.
