We need to accept he won't be here forever. He is far to good to not be playing at the top level when he will never achieve that with us.

I could see him going now but if he does then it has to be for the right price... and we must then invest at least half of what we get for him on new players.

Our squad is weak as it is... If we lose Zaha and don't get replacements in then get ready for a long and painful season.

No one is here forever. We know we will be relegated without Wilf so he will be staying for a while. Don't believe all the clickbait crap.

I kind of hoped this was agent talk. Now might be some substance.

Disappointed but not surprised. Big player tiny club.

If we are serious about keeping him, time to put our money where our mouth is but I fear we won't.

I see it now we want Antonio. Spammers want £15m. We offer£7m. We sign him for £20m about 2 mins before window shuts using proceeds from selling Wolf.

Crystal Palace is my home town and the support we have here is genuine support with families watching with their kids loving us as players so I don’t really see myself anywhere else.”, A quote from the man himself after the Brighton match. He ain't going nowhere, all media hype and speculation and trying to unsettle the lad.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Ah to be honest if I were him I would move on! I would hate to be in a relegation fight every single season! takes its toll on the mind as well!

Love him to bits but he is in his prime now and a chance to win trophys! Like we will prob get relegated anyway in a season or two! Its what happens and what will he be remembered for? few good seasons keeping us up?

I can ignore Tweets and a couple of lines on a 'click-bait' site, but when the Standard starts writing lengthy articles, it does make you wonder....

Can someone who knows more than me about backroom shenanigans explain something.

The press are reporting that Zaha has gone public and stated that he wants to go to Spurs. I have seen nothing to verify this. Thus, it is either true; or untrue.

If the latter, how does such a story usually appear? Is it fed by Wilf's agent trying to improve his terms? Or by Spurs? The latter seems unlikely as the lie will be quickly exposed and everyone will laugh it off.

"a source close to Zaha said..."

It is a lengthy article but with little new substance; in fact mostly its context and recent reported events/rumours for background.

What is new is the suggestion Wilf has said he wants to leave. Unless the club says he's handed in a transfer request I'm taking that with a pinch of salt. It could be agent talk and maybe his contract has some clause that relates to a bid from a champions league club.

I've said elsewhere - its Chelsea that worries me. They can afford and would be in the market for a top draw new winger if Hazard goes.

if his heart is somewhere else then get the deal done asap so that we can spend the money elsewhere. We'll probably string it out playing hard ball and leaving us no time to get in a replacement

IF the Standard are correct, that's what worries me.
