Talking to a mate yesterday and not being all gooey eyed about the past but if our forward options right now were Wilf, Bolasie, Murray and Gayle things would be a lot better - not amazing but better in every way! Pardew dismantled our squad and team spirit. Benched Speroni and Delaney and sold anyone with a bit of personality

From what I recall Aaron was bad but did score a few , and as per play off final did manage to get into goal scoring positions which Sorloth can’t even manage that Aaron could play football. He could certainly hold on to a ball especially if we needed a safe pair of boots to play out a game. Not sure what Sorloth's attributes are as I've not seen any. However, we should be able to get some of our financial outlay back by loaning him out to play the donkey in Nativity plays.

He has also played as an emergency goalkeeper and has scored in all 4 levels of English football. Regards Sorloth, maybe he will start for the Grimsby game, will score a hat-trick and then go to them on Loan !

Who is to blame? A lot of people, it's not once person being poor. I'm not sure Roy has always done the best to get something out of the strikers we do have, and in many ways the signings of Ayew and Sorloth were the sorts of purchases many on here wanted to see us try and go for. They don't always work out though.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Get his big head out on loan so he can try and build up his confidence.

I have seen the quality of Sørloth when he had confidence, some brilliant international goals at the highest level.

When Parish was on the FYP pod a few months back he was asked why the new signings hadn’t spent any time on the pitch. He proceeded to give a review of each player, and uttered such highlights as “Rakip was signed to make up the numbers in training” and Jach “has a lot of potential and is doing well in Turkey”. When he came to Sorloth he paused for a second and said something like “he had a good game at West Brom”. Sorloth is a worse player than Aaron Wilbraham. Aaron played well when Glenn Murray was injured and we were able to keep our shape in the play offs.

Can't blame Sorloth for the inadequacies of the rest of the team. He has yet to start a PL match and it is unfair to slate him unmercifully when he has had little chance to prove his ability, or lack of it.

Yes, he could play, but had no idea how to put the ball in the net. Still rememberhim fluffing chances galore in the Watford play off final....King Kevin put away the decisive penalty in the end! He has also played as an emergency goalkeeper and has scored in all 4 levels of English football. Regards Sorloth, maybe he will start for the Grimsby game, will score a hat-trick and then go to them on Loan !

What he has shown when he's been on the pitch is a total lack of effort, fight, or commitment. Never looks like he wants to come on, sulks around the pitch never challenging defenders or fighting for headers, making lazy little fouls all over the place when he can't be arsed to track back. We are in desperate need of a striker, and you would think a young prospect would be giving his all in training and in his cameo appearances to try to get a starting spot. The fact that he doesn't play despite our desperation for a striker tells me that not only is he s***, but the bad attitude we see in games is reflected in training, and that he's making no effort to stake a place. Unless he bucks his ideas up, he'll never make it anywhere except the easier leagues in Norway.
