Have you formally converted to Islam, or are you just a fellow traveller?

Pretty sure you would find some men from our own culture who don't believe it's possible for a man to rape his wife.

Equally so you will find plenty of Muslims who abhor rape

Agreed, but it's never a fair judgement.
Presidents do not control the economy, the banks do, in this case The Federal Reserve.
An institution that is untouchable by any US administration.

I agree that Trump is not an example of fairness. However he isn't treated fairly either.

I don't agree that the President doesn't control the economy....Well maybe 'control' is too much of a strong word. Regardless the banks are vitally important but without public confidence and jobs they are nothing.

Terrible, but I fear we are entering "what about..." territory.
Nick do you think Islam treats all people the same, regardless of sexuality, gender, faith and race?

2nd time I've asked... you don't have to answer if you don't want.

You don't think it was just possible that he was making a joke? (I do realise that humour is not the strong point of the current left.)

It doesn't, but I don't think any religion or society really does if I'm honest.

Nick's too concerned about his reputation amongst other lefties to treat Islam the same collective way he treats....say Tories.

With 'progressives' minorities get a pass.....Minorities within minorities, like apostates or homosexuals are truly fecked. Except for reformists and occasional liberals only the right will fight their corner.

From what I've heard the people Islamic reformists most complain about, outside of the religion and its activists are 'progressives'.

Poor answer.

The fact that problems exist everywhere is not a reason to ignore highlighting where many of them exist most.

He's obviously far from perfect but yeah, the level of criticism aimed toward him is laughable.

I don't agree that the President doesn't control the economy. The banks are important but without public confidence and jobs they are nothing.

Presidents/Prime Ministers etc have little to do with any economy, but the Central Banking system that we've had forced upon us does, the obvious example being the constant 'boom-bust cycle' (wealth confiscation) that we are subjected to.
They are more than important and far from nothing as they are the ones who dictate the lending (or not) of funds along with the level of interest rates. They have a far far bigger effect on any given economy than the head of any given political party ever will. Sadly.
Cunds, the lot of 'em.

Edit: This is one of the main drivers behind the current (astronomic!) rise in crypto-currency values/trading. Many are fed up with continually being robbed by the current financial system that only ever favours the very very few.

Yep, and we can thank Maggie for starting that ball rolling giving the banks de-regulated free rein to do what the fvck they wanted in pursuit of greed.

So she messed up housing, banking, education, employment, helped create the feckless, chav Jeremy Kyle loviing class and signed up to the bigger EEC/EU which many abhor.

Best PM we ever had.
