I'm confused tbh because even though I don't know them I reckon I like the Calais lot more than I like the 'kill them' gang on here even though we share the same nationality and are supposed to look out for one another and put each other first. Maybe it's because the migrants have some redeeming features. You don't say. Perhaps if you worked on your immigrataion policy it might help to clarify things.
Bless you Kermit, you naivety is actually quite endearing. Sure,I've travelled in Africa, and Asia and in my experience (generalising hugely) , yes, many people are socially conservative. Some aren't. Is your immigration policy to be based on the views of the individual immigrant,Tom? Even social conservatives can sometimes be non rabid OK human beingsTom,no? Well, at least they won't be alone when mixing with quite a few of the locals then, will they! Might even have persuaded Derben it was ok to have someone of a different race or ethnicity living in the neighbourhood. Edited by legaleagle (31 Jul 2015 11.21pm) Legal - I would love to reply to you but I honestly have no idea what you are on about my friend?

I don't care if these migrants stay in the sand dunes of Calais forever, just as long as they don't block my car from getting to Selhurst Park 19 weekends year and they don't make it illegally into England. Edited by Arizona (31 Jul 2015 11.34pm)

sorry 7 reasons not enough for you to assimilate even one. As for immigration policy,as I posted a while ago,I don't believe in unfettered immigration from outside the EU.We actually have pretty strong fettered immigration policies.I do agree with free movement within the EU.I do believe in complying with the 1951 UNHCR Refugee Convention in full,in spirit as well as the letter. Enough.Cheerio Edited by legaleagle (31 Jul 2015 11.27pm) You have not mentioned one issue affecting the receiving countries - is your position that there are no issues affecting the receiving countries. If not, what are those issues? So you think that totally uncontrolled immigration from the EU is sustainable. 'pretty strong fettered immigration policies' - you do make me laugh. Edited by legaleagle (31 Jul 2015 11.32pm) You implied that I called people cockroaches. No I didn't. Read what I wrote (though I appreciate you understand none of the relevant paragraphs at all,as you said.I said that a poster had used the term here recently,as an example of prejudices per se towards economic migrants/refugees.If I'd wanted to say or impute you personally had described economic migrants/refugees as such, rest assured I would have said so expressly with no hesitation.

Where were your grandparents from by the way, I can then try to place you on the vibrancy/enrichment scale. You implied that I shared the view that immigrants were cockroaches - you stated, having quoted various abuse: "All not entirely irrelevant to some of your very own posts". Legal - I would love to reply to you but I honestly have no idea what you are on about my friend? Tom,forgive me if you didn't understand. Its been a long day and I'm sure the fault is mine.I was partly agreeing with your response to Kermit (first bit of it) and partly teasing you about the bit I didn't agree with. Not of sufficient import to re-write it rephrased"!

Edited by leggedstruggle (31 Jul 2015 11.48pm) My grandparents came from four different places Triple yawn re cockroaches Re the italics above,ie. generally re my grandparents having been refugees/economic migrants being not irrelevant, was my response to your prior post. You had queried the general relevance.I had explained relevance of it to a greater understanding of economic migrants/refugees. Try to separate the cock from the roach, so to speak. Goodnight Derben, sorry legged struggle.

Good to see one politician who sticks to what they think and doesn't flip their views to suit the moment 30 July: Nigel Farage has said be would not describe migrants as "swarms", just hours after doing so. Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, the Ukip leader said he was "not seeking to use language like that" and suggested the Prime Minister was simply trying to appear tough on immigration. But on Good Morning Britain today he said: "A couple of times I've been sat on the motorway and surrounded by swarms of potential migrants to Britain."
