Such sad sad news. RIP staffie. I hope we can name all future match day threads in his honour "the staffie Match Thread".
Quite happy for whoever creates a match day topic to prefix it with staffie!

Very sad. A great help to me a few years back getting music for my Dad's funeral. Looked forward every day to see what albums/bootlegs he would post. It was the first port of call. RIP

After hearing of this news yesterday I spoke to friends about how surreal it was that the death of someone I'd never met but known for several years could leave me as sad as I was yesterday. So many times we exchanged DMs, mostly him ticking me off for requesting too much on the MP3 thread! However there were many back and forth's testing his reluctance to accept any form gratitude other than a simple "thanks staffie" for all his help. Many years ago this online community was much smaller and regardless of the fortunes of our beloved club there were few who were as positive, helpful and caring as staffie, the fact that he maintained those qualities to the same level as the site has grown and requests for his assistance grew larger is testament to this incredible man we never met. Rest in peace staffie xxx

The world was truly a better place with him in it. Never met him but I feel like I've lost a member of my own family. Proper choked when I heard the news. RIP staffie. A greatest friend I never had.
There's a bloke down my road who walks round in a Tesco's carrier bag. Turns out he is a brighton faggot. |

Woke up this morning still shocked that staffie will no longer be part of HOL and realising what a selfless guy he was. It would be good if part of Sunday's show could be devoted to how HOL could ensure his passing Is marked with a tribute in his memory as part of the Palace family and to reflect the contribution he made.
Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)! |

Absolutely gobsmacked, hadn't looked at this thread and only realised what had happened because of the HF thread in PT The world is a poorer place without him
