Putting words in my mouth, which loses you all credibility. I haven't said I dislike Israel. What I have said is I do think their government's actions in Gaza is inhumane, barbaric, disproportionate and wrong. Edited by nickgusset (20 Jul 2014 8.43pm)
It's my opinion of your attitude. Am I allowed to have an opinion? I based it upon you supporting Hamas killing Jews.....I regarded that as a rather big hint.
At your post at 2:08 You supported the killing of Jews until the occupation ended. Yeah, me saying you hate Israel is an opinion.....Kind of based upon things like that.

Dialogue with Hamas is needed - Nick is right - not the massacre currently taking place. Israel helped to create Hamas as an opposition to secular leader Yasser Arafat who they didn't want to deal with until 1993 - this article gives some background.
Tell me, what is in it for Israel with having a dialogue with Hamas? Hamas's constitution makes it clear that it will accept nothing but the wiping of Israel from the map. All ceasefires or truces are but stop gaps to that aim. All attempts to get them to change this have failed....Their leader calls recognizing Israel a 'red line'. Tell me, what on earth could Israel gain from dialogue with Hamas? Hamas seeks to wipe them out. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Jul 2014 8.19pm) Stirling, you need to understand that Hamas and Israel are not equal. This picture may help explain... Attachment: Repression.jpg (73.21Kb)

If you say killing Jews is ok that's supporting the practice of killing Jews. Hamas make the distinction of 'living under occupation' as the whole of Israel.

Yeah...Makes a lot of sense. Funny, but you miss the point. The only way the violence is going to end is if there is a comprehensive peace agreement. This is in the hands of the Israelis. There are loads of articles about the collapse of the latest round of US led peace talks which I can post here. I'm not sure you would find these of interest though.

I haven't missed the point...I think you have. Hamas's constitution only recognizes peace as a stop gap towards the destruction of Israel.....You can't make a 'comprehensive peace agreement' with Hamas.....Hamas make that plain themselves. They are only interested in temporary truces or cease fires. You kind of just keep ignoring this stone cold fact. So I kind of have to repeat my question.....What is in it for Israel in talking to Hamas?....What do they get our of it? There isn't any point. This latest round of fighting will stop when Israel deem the latest round too costly, fiscally, politically or whatever....That's about it. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Jul 2014 9.34pm)

I didn't say it was OK for them to kill Israelis, what I was getting at was however, that I can understand why they might. There is a world of difference.

A simple solution: Change the spelling to Palestein. Hamas will then start firing rockets at themselves and Israel will help the locals build loads of lovely houses and give them a decent education and future.

Israel said they agreed with what Egypt had brokered in the last couple of weeks, however, Hamas felt that the terms of the settlement were too skewed in favour of Israel.
