Today's nap is Northern Desert in the 2.25 at Chester. It's been backed in from 8/1 to 4/1 this morning but you should still be able to back it each-way if the price doesn't come in any further.

Other notables include Bond Diamond (Bath 4.40) and Pepperoni (Chester 4.25).

Palace-related horses are thin on the ground today, I would suggest Akina (Fontwell 5.25) and Laser Crystal (Windsor 6.50). I was also amused to see there's a runner at Fontwell tonight called Dirty Sanchez.

Thank goodness I suggested it each-way. It made a profit for me, but as it was backed in to 7/2 the SP didn't make a profit on the place bet. Call it quits. Profit from even £1 stake remains £11.00.

Pepperoni was also second, which cost me a few quid... Bond Diamond won at 4/1.

I'm posting today's tips early as I'll be in a load of meetings later on this morning, right up until the racing starts. I do hope they let me out in time to watch the live commentary online!

Today's picks are all at the Chester meeting. The nap is Cover Up in the 2.55, and I quite like the look of Lingo (2.25) and Shadow Dancing (3.25).

The most Palace-related horse I could find is Jordan's Ridge (Kelso 2.15).

HMHS

would you consider doing a win treble on those predictions ?...

If I did 3 x £5 win doubles on those what would it roughly bring me back, just out of interest ?.

BB, you could indeed -- or even try a Patent(three singles, three doubles and a treble).

Last time I looked the odds were 6/4 Lingo, 8/1 Cover Up and 7/4 Shadow Dancing. So you can even afford to go each-way on Cover Up.

Three £5 win doubles would (provided they win at the above odds) bring in £112.50, £34.38 and £123.75. The treble would win you £309.37.

if I was to do one of these Patent bets:-

3 x Singles
3 x Doubles
1 x Treble

how much roughly would that ring me back ?

Is this the same as a Yankee ?....

BB mate, the Patent would bring in all the returns above plus the single bets. I calculate a £5 patent (total stake £35) would bring in £651.25 based on the above odds. And assuming all win of course!

A Yankee is 11 bets based on 4 selections: 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a quadruple.

Well I wouldn't... but you can if you like! Riyadh is about 16/1 at the moment.

Another possibility is to complete the patent with another horse with a good chance of winning, such as (for example) Sprinkle Stars in the 3.55.

Then you can have a standalone each-way bet on Cover Up.

After all this, it had better win!

HMHS

just got back, not in time to see your last tip, however what will this £5.00 patent bring me back if it comes in:-

Lingo 5/4
Cover Up 7/1
Shadow 6/4

Not too fussed if it don't come in as Arsenal won me £50.00 in a sweep stake on Saturday and Ebdon bought me back £20.00.

Your a bit unsure of Cover-Up are you not ?..

As previous stated I hardly ever bet on horses but as Im quids in a thought I would have a little flutter.
