Well Done Wayne.....????? refusing to sign a contract....to be a bench warmer at spurs? When there was the slightest interest from another club he lost all intrest in playing for Palace, the club who brought him through the ranks and gave him the oppurtunity....Its not the issue of the player leaving its when he refuses to put in 100% because he wants to move and then sticks 2 fingers up at the club on the way out(Steve Bruce, Julian Grey)

Yes, well done.

Knew he wanted to move on, didn't mislead anyone and has stayed until his contract expired. We get a fee for a 'lazy git who doesn't give a toss about Palace' because he wants to make the next step in his career and everyone is happy.

Basically Wayne can't win with Palace fans. Had he signed a contract and then f***ed off after we'd been relegated would everyone had been happier then?

Basically yes as he would cost more! How anyone can honestly wish Wayne well in the future after his behaviour last season (including throwing his shirt down twice in an extraordinary demonstration of petulance) is beyond me.

You really think someone would pay more than 2 million for him??

I wish him very will and will be keen to see his progession - Like Southgate, we made him and for that I feel proud that he will be playing for England. As for petulance? You should get out more mate and meet some 19 year olds. If you can find me a 19 year old who isn't petulant I'll eat my words. As for throwing his shirt down? It's amazing what 19 years old will do when provoked. Move on mate, he's 19 with a talent and wants to put it on the biggest possible stage he can. How anyone can deny a kid that is beyond me. HOW MANY TIMES? SUPPORTERS LOVE FOOTBALL CLUBS, NOT PLAYERS.

And I'm dreading the day when Dowie moves on to bigger things, that I come on here and read the slaggings he'll get.

who can blame him.... he's had a taste of the biggest stage... whatever happens i'll sing his name and his praises!!!

der der der der andy johnson!!

Why will you sing his praises? He is not honouring his contract. I guess you might be one of those who slagged off Routledge for not staying, yet he honoured his contract and, as was his right, he moved on.
I would not be upset if Johnson does go because, if he stays, an unsettled player can have bad influence on the rest of the squad.

BEHAVE.... I HAVE AN OPINION... I RATE HIM AS A PLAYER... NOW IN HIS POSITION YOU TELLING ME YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO PLAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY?? ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT YOU WOULDN'T WANNA MOVE ON AND UP FOR BETTER PROSPECT AND MONEY??

THESE PLAYERS ARE "WORKING" ITS A JOB... SAME AS YOU AND I HAVE... LOOK AT IT THAT WAY...

AND PLEASE DON'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT ME... I'M ALL FOR ROUTLEDGE GOING IF THATS WHAT HE WANTS AND THINKS ITS IN HIS OWN BEST INTERESTS....

Yes but the two of em' f***ed us.

let me enlighten you

AJ said he'd stay then within a wk , go...so thats the prob we all have with aj..

and routledge? well how can anyone 'further' there career when the club there playing for is already playing in the top flight, its not as if spurs were a major 'gonna win stuff' step forward, if he decided to leave after relegation then id understand...but hes an arsehole..

read my last post mate...if wayne was to have joined man utd last yr then all wouldve been fine, but spurs? we were offering the same wages and he wouldve won no more with them than with us!

he asked to leave when we were in top flight, he shouldve done so now, he was too premature..
